seen a bunch of them driving around where i live, sat in one at the local bmw dealership. very nice. also, the dealer mentioned there is a huge waiting list due to less than 2,000 being built prior to 2015. they're selling for 150% of the sticker price.Comment

The i8 is Sexy but dumb! As the saying goes, "Shit, or get off the pot". Why bother including a gas engine at all? Don't be so scared, BMW - Just make it all electric already.
And also : The car's sound system pumps recorded engine noise through the speakers to augment the car's own gas engine. WTF? Are they so scared of their customer base that they need to lie to them now with fake engine noise? Tuning an exhaust pipe is one thing, but this is just crazy. If I was going to buy an I8 the first thing I would want to do is disable that stupid "feature".
Anyway. Fucking sexy car - I saw one here in Montreal about a month ago - but it doesn't go nearly far enough for me on the technology side. For that price I would much rather have a Tesla Model S.Comment
