                    Yeah, it's based on threats as well as actual sexual assault so the 37k number could be too high. The main point/question was why did less than 10 black women report being assaulted or threatened by white men? I did look it up and the stats for any violent crime committed by white americans against other races was way under 10%. Still that's not 0 nationwide.

                                    Regardless of the truth of the Tawana Brawley case, it should be clear that the outcome has a
                                    "chilling effect" for black female victims.
                                    Same for the Duke lacrosse case; plus a fear for prosecutors since the prosecutor in
                                    that case was disbarred.

                                    No matter how sure you are about those cases there is the fact that not everyone is as sure as you.
                                    Those with the most to fear are always the ones that will be less sure(Black females).
                                    Maybe prosecutors are afraid now too.

                                        i don't know if this makes sense to anyone but i find spirituality in trying to understand science.

                                        it's something for me to believe in and it means something to me to try and search for reality, or as close to it as i am capable of achieving.

                                        i couldn't explain it but i find spiritual comfort in that journey.

                                            Not only did Tawana Brawley make shit up Al Sharpton did as well. In fact her case was not only thrown out she and Sharpton were found guilty of defamation and ordered to pay $100,000's of dollars in restitution to the falsely accused.

                                                    Hmm, that's kind of how I look at it too. Science is the observation and application of the world around us that we can see and that we cannot see. There's also science in spirituality itself, though loose

                                                        I think you're in the wrong thread. But, I'll reply anyway.

                                                        Spirituality in my mind is a way to understand and connect with your orgin. Which is why knowing where everything in the universe originated would help. Once we figure out how it got there we can figure out if there was any reason for it to happen.

                                                        The true definition doesn't have to do with religion though. It can refer to any kind of meaningful psychological experience.
