Video Editing: Sony Vegas vs Final Cut Pro

In Sony Vegas you can run a batch render script that renders out all of the "regions" that you have highlighted and prints them to a setting template that you have defined.

I would like to do something similar in Final Cut Pro but am running into a wall. The closest thing that I can find it is to create a "project" instead of a "region" and then use a hacked up way of exporting the projects defined in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5c0F-oJPu-U

Any better ideas? Seems odd that Sony Vegas would do it but Final Cut Pro would not.

Look for the AE Scripts scripts & plugins, you can do this yourself but I think they might have a script that will save you the work.
