Europeans and those outside the US

Do you guys have groups in your country whom deny Global Warming? Here in the US we have these people whom make up a group called "consertives". As a rule they tend to think global warming is a made up way for people like Al Gore to make money.

They also seem to believe it's a massive conspiracy as 97% of the world's scientists are also in on it.

This same group also has a large majority of its members whom don't belive in Evolution and think things like intelligent design should be taught in school to kids along with the bible.. (no Muslim stuff though)

Once again, members of this group tend to think it's best to teach kids abstain from sex and deny sex education in schools. There is a whole laundry list of things they would love to do with our schools to dumb them down but I won't bore you..

Added to this there is part of this group, many are here on Gfy , whom probably understand this is all nuts, but they still vote the politicians whom do belive it into office because this group also claims they will lower taxes and create a utopia on Earth where business will thrive and magic beans make them all rich..

The added bonus is these people usually also really really like guns...

This group is largely known as consertives sometimes they call them selves Republicans...

I'm curious if other countries have to deal with these kind of people? Is global warming even a debate in your country? Does anyone other than Muslims try to push religious agenda as public policy in your country?

Yes, we have "critical thinkers". Those too are mainly conservative, but as religion is not that big part of our society, there isn't that much creationists amongst them.

Maybe it is age related cultural thing, as many of those are older folks. When they were young "humans didn't have any impact to anything". Or at least they thought so, but their "critical thinking" led to many environmental problems.

Don't forget the most important part... They are anti porn! Well to be fair everyone is anti porn, but I can think of one party that has a far more relaxed approach

edit: while that last one also depends on the country in Europe, but its not like these views are connected somehow

In Europe we have geography lessons that are telling us that climate is not a constant and it's always getting wormer or colder.

And we also have a history lessons that tells us that in the last 12.000 years the global climate was much wormer than it's now with the exception of last 500 years (so called little ice age) when in the years 1500-1750AD it was getting colder and in the years 1750-2015 it was getting back to normal (for Halocen era).

I know that this is very confusing for americans. Your country is not even 250 years old, so you where living only in the second half of the little ice age but mybe this chart will help you to understand a climate: http://climate.geologist-1011.net/Ho...mperatures.png

wait, so your logic is that since USA is 250 years old, Americans get confused about shit previous to that.

your euro sense must be tingling.

He does have a good point though.

The whole "global warming" as a "crisis" was started under the Nixon administration (you know, one of those pesky "conservatives")

He sent Daniel Patrick Moynihan as the delegate from the U.S. to the NATO summit on Acid Rain and Greenhouse Effect.
Moynihan had "settled science" from a consensus of the "world's top scientists" (as the alarmists like to claim even today) that the entire Eastern seaboard of the United States was going to be underwater before the year 2000.

Moynihan walked into the summit claiming that the world needed to act right away.

The Europeans weren't stupid and saw through it:
"After an enthusiastic start on authority level, the German government reacted sceptical. The initiative was seen as an American attempt to regain international terrain after the lost Vietnam War."

So yeah, Europeans aren't as dumb as crockett is trying to say. They don't all fall for this shit in lockstep like the sheep Alarmists do.

the global warming debate began with roger revelle in the 1950s.

and the ENTIRE man-made global warming issue is bought hook line and sinker throughout Euro.

what that poster wrote has nothing to do with any of that though. again, he's said that since we are only 250 years old, we get confused about climate preceding that. that's incorrect.

"you people"?

Do you think that I am part of some group of people who think alike?

You are mistaken, that would be the alarmists who don't question authority in any way, shape, or form. The people who believe what a govt., that has done some of the nastiest things imaginable to people and is filled with greedy crooks, tells them.

I have my own mind. And I too am able to look at long term history and see that we are just now coming out of the "Little Ice Age".

If you Alarmists would only mention things like that instead of screaming about everything being "Man Made" then perhaps you would be taken seriously.

It's hard to talk about a subject with you when you ignore history, ignore any science that disagrees with what you've been told, and ignore the modern history of the govt.'s of the world and the lies they have told you.

I guess it's easier just to try and lump people together in your mind and go with what the prevailing money scam (carbon credits) is this decade.
Next decade it will be some other scam to make money.

I question it. You don't. Pretty easy to understand.

Either way it doesn't matter.

The guys making money off of "climate change" don't really give a fuck about what you or I think or say on a porn message board.

You can be "happy" that this will move forward no matter what.
It took 40 years...but the U.S. has finally gotten most of the world's "leaders" on board to make a lot of money...er, I mean to promote climate change as being man made and a potential catastrophe.

Meanwhile, all of those same leaders ride around in big limousines, fly private jets, and in the case of the U.S.: send out our over-bloated military in figher planes, aircraft carriers, and massive armored tanks to bomb the hell out of other countries.

Yeah, the politicians screaming about "man made climate change" do more in a day to spew CO2 than all of us civilians combined.

Keep believing man! Like I said, it doesn't matter what you or I think.

Just makes a nice, lively discussion on a porn forum.

Crocket science once again. No one anywhere denies the climate is changing orr that the climate is warming. Your delusional fantasy as usual is founded on a lie. Funny how how you have to lie fri from the start if you believe all the facts are on your side.

Nice to see that Canada, a country known for it's independent thinking and low level of political indoctrination, leads the pack with a 71% global warming threat acceptance. Damn, I live in a great country.

Most people are too unsophisticated or naive to understand that the governments of the world subsidize this alleged "climate science" to the tune of hundreds of millions if not billions of dollars because the results of this "science" always demand more government intervention into people's lives, which is what leftists crave more than anything.

What's hilarious is that actual physicists will tell you that the giant nuclear fusion reactor 333,000 times the mass of Earth sitting 8 minutes away in space is far and away the dominant force shaping the Earth's climate; and, that when this object is more active, the Earth gets hotter; and that when this object is less active (as it has been of late), the Earth gets colder (as the last few record breaking winters have demonstrated). And yet despite the obviousness of this reality, the leftards love to pretend that my Mercedes is the dominant force shaping the Climate of the Earth. There is no reasoning with a leftard.

"Data compiled by Joanne Nova at the Science and Policy Institute indicates that the U.S. Government spent more than $32.5 billion on climate studies between 1989 and 2009. This doesn?t count about $79 billion more spent for climate change technology research, foreign aid and tax breaks for ?green energy.?

That's a LOT of money going to scientists for them to come up with their "conclusions".

But don't hold your breath waiting for the alarmists to even ponder that.

If the govt. tells them to jump....they ask: "How high"?

You do know they have scientist out side the US right? You just think every scientist is corrupt and taking money? Do you realize that would be a bigger conspiracy than 9/11 truthers or the moon landing was faked loonies?

How has this great conspiracy been kept under wraps? How is it you know of it, but no one else not even Republicans in Congress have managed to find out? Perhaps you should go tell Congress how corrupt all the scientist in the world are as I'm sure they would be eager to know..

There is no "conspiracy" crockett.

It's pretty simple. ALL scientists get funding from somewhere.

Of course most scientists aren't even concerned with "climate change". The vast, vast majority of scientists work for private companies and are busy creating things for the companies they work for.

The ONLY ones who are studying "climate change" either work for a govt. in their country or on the opposite side...an oil company.
One side says "yes", the other says "no".

It's not a "conspiracy".

As far as people knowing about it...yes, every person with half a brain knows it.

Scientists are not some kindly race of Saints who study the universe at their own expense.
They are just people. And they get PAID to come to conclusions.

You and I both know that when you start with a pre-determined conclusion...you can find "evidence" to prove it.
It's a fallacy.

The oil company scientists can "prove" it doesn't exist. And the govt. funded scientists can "prove" it does.

It's all about money.

Again, I ask...if it's real, then why are the politicians flying in jets, riding in limo's, sending the military out to create HUGE "carbon footprints"...instead of taking our tax dollars away from the military and putting them towards solar panels on every building in the United States?

You know why. It's a scam.

I've yet to see anyone 'deny' global warming as defined by the term climate change. Or do you deny that's the correct phrase? Should us sane people start labelling you self-important fucking morons as 'climate change deniers', beings as you insist on using the phrase global warming which infers some kind of impending man-made catastrophe?

What a boring cunt, let me guess - you don't get many party invites?

Jel...I'm unsure which side of this you are on.

Do you think that it's a man-made situation that is going to lead to catastrophe for the human species (as Al Gore has said over and over)?

Or do you think that it's just normal climate change happening as it has throughout the Earth's existence?

I need to know if I'm the boring cunt who doesn't go to parties or is it crockett? lol

So you think Democrats are so powerful that they are capable of convincing scientists around the world to "find/manufacture" evidence to prove Global Warming?

If your theory was true, why is it that Republicans whom lets be honest would be fucking thrilled to death to prove some big scandal around GW claiming it was just about money.. Yet they don't and can't and resort to carrying snowballs in their pocket..

You are saying it's not a grand conspiracy, yet everything you describe makes it a grand conspiracy if your thoughts were correct.

ah ok, I read your OP as the group being 'global warming deniers' having a 'large majority' who don't believe in evolution, rather than republicans specifically - my bad

Great example of how lefties argue everything from the point of being on a 'side' though, props for that. How about saying most Americans on more than $50k a year don't believe in evolution? Pretty sure that'd be factual, though completely misleading when taken out of context too.

I don't think income vs religious thoughts matters much.. Usually religious convictions are tied to geography more than anything else. People in big cities for example are less likely to be religious vs people whom live in rural areas.

There are plenty of well off people in rural areas just like there are plenty of poor people in big cities and the reversed being plenty of rich in the cities and plenty of poor in the rural areas. Yet despite what the income is, the rural areas are always more religious.

Nope, I never said that...you did.

What I said (quite plainly) is that ALL scientists work for someone.

The ones doing climate change are working for the govt.
And the govt. is pushing "man made climate change" to make a lot of money (billions and billions) through "carbon trading" and "carbon tax".

Why are you pretending that isn't happening? And why do you keep trying to say it's a "conspiracy"?
It's just simple reality.

The scientists come to the conclusions that they are paid to come to.

I guarantee you that any and every scientist you could possibly quote...will do a 180 degree turn if his funding is cut off from the govt. and he is hired by an oil company instead.

That you can't see that...is beyond me. I like to think that most folks are somewhat business-savvy and understand how the world really works.

You better check again. The Catholic Church would STRONGLY disagree with your assessment of religion and "big cities".
