Yes; my first buying was about as 14-15 years old when I bough porn magazine from one "luxury store" (local "Harrods"). At the time they did sell to underages, now it has been tightened at least some. Fucking regulation, now they have to watch it for free from internet.

I first paid for porn in Times Square, NYC circa 1980. I couldn't believe other people were into BDSM! I loved the HOM (House of Milan) magazines and videos. Spent plenty of quarters in those booths! There was one place in particular called Kinematics that specialized in BDSM. They moved out of Times Square and over to 37th and Sixth Avenue around 1993 and stayed open until 2013 (must of had a 20-year lease). I purchased stuff there until the end, in the last decade mostly out of nostalgia.
Edit: Just checked their website, which is still up - I guess they're making enough money off of VOD to keep it going. Store is definitely closed.
