    2257 Question

I have been researching all morning about 2257 for a website I am designing for a couple to promote their clips4sale site (not yet up).

I found a lot of info here and also I found a great article on 2257 here:
    gregpiccionelli.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=202:t en-frequently-asked-questions-about-the-2257-regulations&catid=87:published&Itemid=1258#top

But I am still unclear something.

If on their website for promoting their C4S site they are only showing clips and pics that only contain ass & tits (cut down and screen shot so no sex, pussy or dicks), do they need a 2257 page? From the page above "Depictions that include lascivious exhibitions of the genitals or pubic area" ... are just asses and tits considered genitals?

Trust me, it is clear they are well over 18 ... but trying to make sure the right thing is done.

    Thanks
    DV

Notwithstanding USC 18 ยง2257A: see the definition of 'lascivious'.

Not legal advice. Offered for topical conversation only.

get 2257. not cause of federal raid.

but because adult billers require, clips4sale prolly requires regardless of the nuance.

having it gives the producer the option of making future material that is more laviscious. only takes 1 2257 act to make the whole site 2257 rquired.

& its best to have the records if the owner should decide to sell. would be harder to market anything adult without 2257 records even if content is rated R.

This is a good point because maybe 1 act or photo may be received like that even if I or them don't think so.

But now when I tell them they will need to keep records (and which it is only the 2 of them) AND put the address of where the records are kept on the website, I don't think they are going to want to put their home address on the site. Are there other companies that can keep those records? Perhaps transfer files and documents? I'm sure as hell not keeping them for them (they have already been somewhat of a pain in the ass).

I'm glad this question was posted. I ran across a Twitter account that made me a little uncomfortable, tweeting selfies in undies, clearly underaged but not necessarily sexual themselves - unless you put them all together with that intent, as they are. I think the only Good Karma thing to do is report it to Twitter.
