    Is there a site that tells you where an IP address comes from?

    I used to use NetWorldMap when a member signed up and it was a great way to tell if a new member was a fake account, like a member would say they were from NYC but their IP address was from Italy or something. But they went out of business.
    Is there another service like it?

                                              Yeah, Google. Just put the IP in google search and the results will typically tell you where it is from.

                                              For instance, searching 46.118.119.63 shows 4 1st page results telling me it is from Ukraine (3 of which say Lviv). I think it's a pretty safe bet that is the case.

                                              I also see that a number of sites and services have blacklisted 46.118.119.63 and that the IP has been flagged by Project Honey Pot as a comment spammer.
