So, now Russia ain't west? What happened to that your "Europe is mostly Russia" thing? Or is just "wild west" counted as west?

Russia is in war with Ukraine. I think this West vs Russia is used more by Russia, to make this sound like another great patriotic war for the motherland. It sounds far better than describing Russia as some bully.

Putin is paranoid, a country run by ex-KGB agents. I don't know what he thinks is going to happen, does he actually think the West wants to grab Russian land or to cause/help an overthrow of the government? It will become a self fulfilling prophecy if it's the latter, as Russia inches towards totalitarianism we will no doubt try to help overthrow the government.
I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!

Totally agree. Talk to a Russian, and they think the cold war never ended.

I don't think he really believes the USA is gonna to grab any Russian lands because it's just impossible. But I'm 100% sure he is very scary to be another Saddam or Gaddafi. He's afraid of revolution and sees enemies everywhere. I think he has some serious mental-related problems, and paranoia is just one of them.

So it was ended? For real? Look were NATO was before 1991 and where it is now. Since that time, Russia has moved back its troops from Germany, Cuba, Vietnam etc. Right at the same time, the USA has moved its troops to the Russian borders. Hint: use your brain sometimes.

You posted that article. And last time it was war between West and Russia, but thanks for the clarification what you count as west. That article defines west more broader. We are not talking about hemispheres in here.

"As a part of that just as we’ve seen a very definite stiffening of the line in Moscow, in Russia as whole, so the same is happening, too, in many parts of the West. Of course, the West is much less united, there are some countries that are really quite alarmed and dismayed by the prospect of a drawn out conflict with Moscow. And there are others who aren’t."

About NATO; as soon as certain countries got rid of Russia, they voluntarily joined to NATO. Russia got its bases in Europe during WWII and using puppet governments. These things are not quite comparable.
