Thanks for the hint. They already contacted us, and as soon as they make a reasonable offer , we are ready to sell.
I am pretty sure you cannot register a trade mark like that. |

Its called cybersquatting. But anyway, good luck. |
Well, you are free to suspect whatever you like.
Until that happens, thanks for you good wishes. You have been very helpful. |

Just a heads up - the penalties for cybersquatting can range from 1,000 to $100,000 per domain. Defending one can cost you at least 10k and i'm sure it could go up a shit ton more. |

And the fact that this chap has said he is wanting cash and I think the domain was registered in 2014, I do not think he would have any chance of winning. I know if it was me I would just give them the domain name. |
I think you take out of context what I said.
What I said is that everything is for sale for the right price. I bought this domain because it was free and because it fits best my idea about making a review site for best porn sites. Which I did, and I think the site we did is pretty nice. If on the other hand I would have bought this domain, hold it and send a money demand, that would have been considered as cybersquatting. But we NEVER DID IT. I am pretty happy growing this site as my own business. Being in business with a domain for 10 years doesn't mean you own a trademark on it. You have to register your trademark, and a name composed of common nouns like this cannot be registered as trademark. I tried to register a similar trademark and was not possible. I just checked and this trademark is not registered. So, that ship has sailed. Thanks anyway for your attempts to scare us into submission. Somehow, I am not afraid. DVTimes> If by any luck, somebody will send you a proposal to buy your white blog, would you consider selling it ? |
