"If you've been vaccinated, can you still get measles?
Yes, people who have been vaccinated can get the measles, but there is only a small chance of this happening. About 3 percent of people who receive two doses of the measles vaccine will get measles if they come in contact with someone who has the virus, according to the CDC. "
yet for that disneyland thing, more than one vaccinated person was infected, so the 3% number is a little strange.. you also have HPV vaccines and if you ever had chickenpox, you should get the shingles vaccine
see where this is all going? it's funny that with all this talk of 'anti-vaxxers'.. a lot of information is pointing to people coming from outside the US that were infected with the disease
Yes they should have the choice to be stupid if they want to. But vaccinations should be a requirement to participate in public school, at the very least.

If one day they can create vaccines which have been scientifically proven to be safe, effective and necessary, that will change things, but while they are in the hands of people who don't use the scientific method and actually stand to profit from any harm they cause, only the misinformed or naive will think parents can be forced to vaccinate their kids.
Should your "freedom" allow you to kill other children?
"Free" doesn't mean "I get to do whatever the fuck I want!"
Make the vaccines safe and effective, use honest science, rigorous long term science, compare the risks against the benefits, ban companies from profiting from the diseases which their vaccines induced, take away that conflict of interest and move the goal posts completely; when a vaccine damages a child the pharmaceuticals need to lose, lose big, not win, this is where it's going wrong.
In my county, cases of Syphilis are at a modern high. There were only 4 cases in 2007, 14 in 2013 and this year so far: 56. Some people are actually blaming social media (although I didn't catch how other than maybe casual random hookups). I don't think we need a law banning casual hookups originating on social media to combat it.
An increase in education would be a good way to go on all of these sort of things.
I'm glad my mother wasn't like Jenny McCarthy back then.I think I did ok
Jenny was totally pro-vaccine until she witnessed her own child have an extremely bad vaccine reaction which he never recovered from. Your mother wasn't like Jenny McCarthy because you were lucky with your shots.
An increase in education would be a good way to go on all of these sort of things.
Education is good, but it will push people away from vaccines, the more you educate the less you will want to vaccinate. A CDC study found that educated people are the ones least likely to vaccinate.
Here's some of the top vaccine experts in the world, they met together and gave presentations on the serious concerns they have about vaccines, the CDC and mainstream don't tell you about the reality of the situation, instead they whitewash.

That is some serious bullshit right there.
I am highly educated, I am not going to pass the chance to protect my kids. Anyone choosing not to give their kids the best chance at a long and healthy life needs to have their parental rights reexamined.
Let the chips fall where they may once people are fully informed and able to choose what they might consider to be one risk versus another. In other words, I would also not ban vaccinations. No mandate, no ban. Lets hang out in the middles.
Wehateporn - you are pretty concerned with health and safety...of the individual. What about the group? Aren't we all just one big family? Doesn't the group matter? Or should individual freedom trump the absolute fact that if vaccines weren't required all sorts of eradicated (or nearly eradicated) diseases would come screaming back and thousands would suffer.

When I say educated I mean specifically on vaccines, I used to be pro-vaccine myself, two science degrees here, but then I became obsessed with reading vaccine studies, they are a joke, can't believe it's allowed, not science at all

The complications which vaccines bring are lifelong and far more serious than the mild short-term illnesses which they claim to prevent. Vaccines are Big Pharma's excuse to induce autoimmune diseases, playing with the immune system is playing with fire, but Big Pharma don't want a world where only 4% of people are potential customers, they need to harm us, that's what vaccines are, it's how they increase the size of their market inducing MS, Diabetes Type 1, Asthma, Epilepsy etc, they need more sick people, customers dependent on drugs for life.
Remember when Japan banned vaccines for under-2's, Crib Death vanished in the country, their infant mortality rate jumped right up to best in the world.
Therefore I will go on and discuss how to be a good parent:
If we are talking your basic vaccinations, like measles, tetnis, etc, then YES every kid should be vaccinated. These are proven successful vaccines that literally billions of people have received. Do it and STFU.
Now: flu shots? Other types of shots? Fuck that shit NO WAY.
Carry on.

Seriously - name one that you think is bullshit - what about Chemtrails?
The man can answer for himself but I will weigh in on chemtrails: they absolute 100% FACT. I have seen them myself and know scientists who have confirmed the worst scenario you can imagine. It's all true. Happy Friday!
Wehateporn - are there any popular conspiracy theories that you don't subscribe to? You seem so smart -yet very gullible.
Seriously - name one that you think is bullshit - what about Chemtrails?
The difference with chemtrails is it's difficult to get solid evidence, so it has to remain as conspiracy. With vaccines the research papers are freely available, the Internet enables us to read the papers and listen to the experts giving their presentations, it takes time but you can get to grips with the situation if you have time and patience on your hands. If anyone spends the necessary time on vaccines they will eventually come to the same conclusion as me, most won't, they'll just spend time in threads like this calling people "idiots" and "gullible".

The Tetanus vaccine is the most dangerous vaccine on the market, it's the cause of Crib Death. This vaccine has been shown to reduce life expectancy. This professor warns about that vaccine.
Measles is perfectly safe if you have enough Vitamin A. The MMR vaccine is dangerous, firstly the the scientists involved with the Mumps part of the vaccine have blown the whistle that the efficacy tests were faked using animal antibodies. Next problem is that a CDC whistleblower has now come forward and confirmed he took part in the cover-up of data showing that vaccines are causing Autism. A university of California study found that there was an association between the MMR vaccine and Autism (only if you take Tylenol/Paracetamol around the same time)
Parents shouldn't have the choice about vaccines. If they fail to get vaccines, they put the rest of us at risk by allowing measles to spread. There is no logical reason not to get vaccines.
Autism and other things aren't caused by vaccines. Fuck, my generation grew up with lead paint and asbestos. It could be ANYTHING that causes autism.

You've got your information from the mainstream media, I would recommend you research in detail before speaking in absolutes
Does anyone here think rational society should have the ability to castrate and imprison those whose delusions who have became a real danger to those around them or not?

Well I disagree about the Tetanus (thank you for spelling it correctly, I did not check the spelling before). My kid (who I do not have) cuts his finger on a rusty soda can and I want him to have his shot. And he would have more than enough Vitamin A cause I would give him/her lots of good ol' American milk.
That covers two of them....the others? Probably. But here's the thing about Autism: it is so difficult to pinpoint causality that I think, sadly, it all comes down to the luck of the draw.
That, or the REAL problem is the over-chemicalization of every area of American life. That, and the Baby Boomers insane drug useage for thirty years. LOL I blame all that as the cause of Autism more so than vaccines.

Tetanus is a disease of poor wound hygiene, those at risk of Tetanus would typically be newborn babies in the Third World who have their cord cut with rusty scissors, in the First World it would be a risk to someone with 80% burns. It's not a realistic risk to the average person who cleans their wounds well and is in good health. Even so, if you did go down with Tetanus just take some antibiotics, all is well and good.
The first problem with the Tetanus vaccine is that it's also known as the Crib Death vaccine, secondly Tetanus antibodies often end up attacking cells in the body which look similar to Tetanus (molecular mimicry), this means autoimmune disease. For anyone questioning vaccines it's the first vaccine to strike off the list, it has the most about of compensation paid out for damages, studies have shown that it decreases life expectancy compared to those who don't receive the vaccine.

Well I am ancient so maybe the shots I got 300 years ago were better than the ones today. This is certainly true of Reeses peanut butter cups.
wehateporn is an idiot. The fact that you clown fucks respond to his shit makes it even funnier. You do realize that he is a moron that thrives off of people disagreeing with him, right? Just put him on ignore or skip over his johnnyclips posts.
Responding to him makes you appear to be a simpleton.
