I'm not really technical, but I have a lot of people looking for hosting (10-15 customers per day)

I just didn't want to refer them to a hosting company as an affiliate because I don't see the value in giving someone else recurring income.

I outsource all the technical stuff. So could I just go here http://resellerclub.host/bluehost

and set it up and brand it so it looks like my own hosting company? I handle all the billing, and I also have control over the customer data etc?

        They just handle the support?

Does that also mean it would be easy to move those customers to a different host in the future if needed and it wouldn't affect the customers?

I haven't used it in many years but I'd imagine it's a lot more advanced than it was back when (10 or so years ago) and yes you are pretty much your own host and domain reseller. It will work with anything cpanel for sure and others? Plugs into a number of registrars as well. But you handle support to your clients and they support you. When I referred the link to ya I didn't realize reseller club had the whole shebang there for ya. I'd imagine a number of others do the same. If you decide to go with resellerclub let me know I have a top tier account with them I can set you up under at my pricing or I may even give up the account since I no longer use it and see no future need. That is if I can remember the admin user and pass..lol

Billing is all in the script including account creation. I handled support which is why I got out of the business.. Nothing like spending your entire birthday on a server crash and fielding calls from a lot of pissed off clients so I understand not wanting to do that. I'm sure there's a solution out there. I'd suggest visiting WHT to find what you're looking for but be careful as there's loads of other resellers out there that will promise the moon and leave you and your clients in the dark when they don't pay their bills.

I was thinking of going with a reputable company that won't disappear overnight like http://resellerclub.host/bluehost

Not sure if that's what I'm looking for.

It says they will handle support, but doesn't mention if I can handle the billing myself..

Is that pretty much what I'm after?

most companies wont offer support directly to your customers you would need to hire a company to do that.

check with whatever host you decide on some might offer end user support most reseller accounts dont include that.

Under support platform, does that mean they offer support or they just supply the platform for you to be able to do customer service?

It says on the bluehost site it has WHMCS so you would be able to handle billing. I think they are referring to support of you and not your customers.

I suggest going with at a minimum one of their VPS packages and not the reseller packages so you're able to upgrade RAM.

They won't provide direct support for your clients. There are only a hand full of places that offer that, and its for an additional cost.

they will offer support to you not your customers.

there are companies out there that will do your end user support per ticket or for a flat rate for x amount of hours a month its not standard tho most people that use reseller hosting deal with the easy tickets themselves and just contact the company they get the reseller account from when its something they dont understand.

it is rather tricky how you like to do it. But really when looking at what is involved at running such business i would just make a deal with a company to get % or the recurring income. In the end you will see that it gets you more than having to hire and doing all the stuff that comes with it.

Also setting up whmcs and such is a hassle when you are not really into that stuff.

If you ever want a good deal on those recurring clients you bring in hit me up at [email protected]

Good luck in whatever decision you make.
