There already is limits on them but the old ones need their firmware updated in order to abide by the new limits/flight ceiling. That is why i keep a copy of the original firmware on a USB

A guy called the US Secret Service and fessed up to crashing his drone (lost in error?) on the White House lawn. However, the whole episode shows how incompetently the White House grounds are guarded.

The meth drone that crashed in Tijuana might not have crashed if it had carried less weight. What damage could be done with a 2 kg payload of high-explosives or radioactive dirty bomb material, not only on the White House grounds ( a Rose Garden press conference?), but in population centers?

I think you're right, they will be extremely regulated in the next 5 years max. I was ahead of the drone game, started a couple years ago, as did other GFY'ers posting about it back then For me it got old fairly quickly, to little reward.
