Seems like a great first step for them to take, I mean what message could be sent by them posting a picture that may be looked at as disrespecting someone else's culture, language, rules, and beliefs.

The "small" difference is that these things are not implemented by any Christians at all. They finished hundreds and hundreds of years ago.

Heard that many times from local Christian fanatics. However that's not true. Both books are equal in Christianity. Furthermore the most important 10 Commandments are written in the Old Testament and Christians must follow them.

P.S. As any other religion, Christianity doesn't "work". It's something you have to accept "AS IS" or not accept at all. There is no religion which allows discussions and free-thinking. You must just obey and don't ask questions.

Newsflash, the old testament has a more crude approach to society and faith in general. It preaches vengeance and violence when you've been wronged. Aside from the ten commandments, there is little there for the Christians to follow, more than for historical purposes.

The new testament is the part where the life and teachings of Jesus are written. Where he says you should turn the other cheek, instead of going an eye for an eye. See it as an amendment to a law, if you will. The old law is still written, but the changes created by the amendment are the ones valid now. So in that regard, pretty much everything in the new testament trumps the old testament. Therefore Christianity is based PRIMARILY on the new testament. You know, the one without which Christians would still be Jews.
