right on! I edit all my content, just picked up an i7 laptop with 8 gigs for editing while traveling. had planned on stuffing plenty of ram in here but 8 runs ps, lr and pp without a hiccup so I'm not going to bother. Maybe when 4k video comes around.

I have 16gb of ram in my PC. Had 8 in my old pc, but bought a new motherboard and cpu so figured I'd throw in 16gb of ram. Got the ram, cpu (core i7 4790k) and motherboard (Asus Maximus VII Hero) on sale. I read an article about video editing and ram really didnt make a difference.The speed of the hard drive made a big difference. With ssd drives I can see,4 gig being more than enough for what most people do.Comment
