The United States plotted the coup which took place in Ukraine in February 2014 in response to Russia?s policy in Syria, says George Friedman, the founder and CEO of Stratfor, known as "Shadow CIA".

MOSCOW, December 19 (Sputnik) ? The United States is behind the February coup in Kiev, which came in response to Russia?s stance on Syria, said George Friedman, the founder and CEO of Stratfor, a global intelligence company.

Russia has repeatedly said that the coup in Kiev was organized by the US, Friedman told Kommersant newspaper. Indeed, it was the most overt coup in history, the political analyst stressed.

The United States decided to act following Russia?s successes in the Middle East, a key region for the US. Americans saw that Russians could influence what was happening in the Middle East, Friedman said. Russians are one of the many challenges in the region that the US faces, he stated. The US thought Russia?s activities were an attempt to harm Washington, the political analyst told the newspaper, adding that events in Ukraine should be viewed in this context.

Because I'm not sure they are there right now. Personally I'm sure they have crossed the border in the past, like Ukrainians also did, but I have some real doubts about now. The CIA has a shitload of spy satellites. Why don't the States publish the gathered facts? There are tons of the US satellite videos from Iraq and Afghanistan on youtube, but no videos from Ukraine. Why?

EU continues to vote on more sanctions against Russia for their role in causing this and invading Ukraine and seizing Ukrainian territory as we speak because the EU leadership are all confused.

You are showing as clueless you are again and again... All developed World (the EU countries) is interested in strong Russia because they don't need any destabilization in the region (you know, about 44% of the whole Europe belongs to Russia) and they are interested in huge Russian market, in rich Russian tourists etc. They want to sell their goods to Russia and receive Russian resources in exchange.

So all those European sanctions are pushed by the USA (please don't tell me you didn't know that). They are not meet the EU interests. Use Google Translate and read the George Friedman's interview. The guy explains how and why the USA do it in a very simple form, so even stupid rednecks and housewives can understand what he said.

Precisely. Back in 1999, US planes dropped photos of serbian positions to some of serbian units that were hiding and waiting for attack from Albania. Just a reminder that they know precisely where are they and what are they doing.

There's much evidence that Stratfor are the force behind Alex Jones, hence that makes them 'Controlled Opposition'. This would mean Friedman has been sent to Russia by the US Oligarchs to anger the Russia Bear i.e. to further sour East/West relations
