Then you might like The Babadook - I was watching it recently and was reminded of Michael King, thinking to myself "wow, Brits just cannot make a good horror flick." To be fair though, the kid in The Babadook is incredibly annoying which is undoubtedly intentional to show that the single mom is at her wit's end. I got about half way through, and might attempt to finish it when I'm super-bored and there's nothing better on.
