This is very simple common sense: If you fail to obey a police officer, you will face the consequences. I'm not saying anyone deserved to die, but... If you assault a police officer you are going to pay for it one way or another. If you resist arrest, you are going down one way or another and you are most likely going to get hurt. I have a good friend who is black; He is the godfather of my only child and I am he godfather of his first born son. I asked him if he lives in fear of being shot and his reply was "I don't even live in fear of being pulled over". He is blacker than black and lives in the whitest town I've ever been to. (He lives in Montana.) He also doesn't roll around saying "fuck da police".
White people are stupid too, they assault police too, and they shot and killed by police too. No one is protesting whites getting killed.
They are protesting because an 18 year old man assaulted a police officer and paid the price for it. Not saying he deserved to die, but my got assault a police officer and you are playing with fire.Herschel Savage

That is simply not true. In order to get sentenced under the three strikes law at least two of the crimes you have commit must be serious felonies. Sure, if you have two serious felonies on your record and you commit a petty crime you could get your third strike, but by that time you have already spent plenty of time in jail for very serious things.
Here is the list of offenses you can get a strike for in California.

What were his first two strikes? (I did a quick search and found that this guy with the socks has twice been previously convicted for aiding and abetting a robbery).
As I stated above you don't go to jail for 25 years for committing three petty crimes. Two of them have to be serious felonies or violent crimes.Comment
