    how do you pronounce 'button'?

    the reason I ask is because I hear more and more of people dropping the second 't' words with double t's... I say but-ton, I'm now hearing but-un... thoughts?

      I alwys thought the second t was silent. Google says it is silent and also with butter.

          I was never taught that way... buht-er sounds funny to me.. maybe it the first 't' not being clearly pronounced is what I'm hearing.. I'll listen today... my asst speaks this way
