              As much as Balotelli brings a lot of the shittyness on himself, I can't help but feel if it was some other black footballer, this wouldn't be as big of a deal as it is today.

                                              more to do with his fame/infamy than his skin colour, imo. suarez is another that would be annihilated for it, joey barton is yet another. gerrard, or lampard for example would cop a load a shit for it, but on a different level, whereas john terry would be in the first group.

                                              Also agree with scott.... balotelli is hardly the shiniest button in the box, the man can't even put on a training bib without help ffs lol (yes really for those who haven't seen it... video below!). Genuine stupidity rather than any malice (I'd venture he didn't even understand the jew reference, and had zero idea it was anything other than what he thought was a real anti-racism meme), and for me anyway, it's all about the intent behind an action, rather than solely the action itself
