yup that was a bad ass catch! Being a Cardinals fan for many years I've seen Fitz make some amazing one handed catches but that was like a ONCE IN A LIFETIME CATCH

It was freakin' amazing!
I agree also about Fitz (Larry, not me!)...he's made many bad ass receptions!
Its a great catch, but most people don't know that receivers gloves have a special coating on the palm, making them extremely tacky. Thats what allowed him to snatch it out of the air and not lose it in spite of how fast its spinning. I see some people using them for weight lifting sometimes as fingerless gloves are a bitch when using straps.
. Yes, fewer illegal immigrants working equates to more job opportunities for American citizens.
There was another great one handed catch tonight by Buffalo's Robert Woods.
Receivers do wear gloves that have some chemical 'stickiness' on the surface but been that way for a long time - that catch is phenomenal, and photos do show he caught it with only 3 fingers on the ball.
I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!
Not to take anything away from his catch, but can we get an investigation into the amount of glue on his gloves?!
+1
From ESPN:
"today's high-tech football gloves are engineered with a tremendous amount of tack in the palm and fingers. When you stick up your gloved hand and the ball hits it, it's almost like a fly hitting flypaper. That's why one-handed catches were mostly unheard of a generation ago and are semi-routine now."
Not saying the man doesn't have skills, but take the glove out of the equation and there's no catch.
Tyree was better. Holmes to win the Super Bowl was better. Dwight Clark's was better. Lynn Swann's was better. The moment matters. Otherwise we ought to include amazing things people do at scrimmages and practices.
Beckham's catch was the best regular season catch I've ever seen. It'll go down with the flip Jerome Simpson did to get in the end zone for the Bengals as an amazingly athletic move.
Marshawn Lynch's beastmode run won a wildcard game, it would have mattered less if it was done in week 11 on a team with a losing record that also lost the game anyway. If Beckham made that catch in the Super Bowl or in the 4th quarter of a close playoff game that helped his team go on to become champs, it would be talked about for generations.

Steve Young's run against the Vikings and Bo Jackson's run against the Seahawks were both in the regular season and both are considered to be among the greatest runs of all time.

Nothing Bo or Barry Sanders ever did during any single run can match the Marcus Allen run in the Super Bowl. That's not Barry's fault, or Bo's fault... Marcus won his team a world championship. Bo and Barry showed the world what they *might* have been able to do if they ever got to the Super Bowl. Doing it with everything on the line is not the same as doing it in week eleven.
That's why Scott Norwood's miss will be talked about forever and countless other misses are forgotten only a few weeks later. It's why Marty Schottenheimer is not a great coach, even though his career win total is higher than many other coaches who are great. Desmond Howard is an all time immortal because he single-handedly won a super bowl by returning kicks for his team. The patriots went 18-1 a few years ago... but the Giants won that Super Bowl. Would you rather have the 18 wins, or the championship ring on your finger? Ask Rodney Harrison.
This was the greatest regular season catch I've ever seen (and Ive watched a huge number of games). That doesn't make it the best of all time because it's harder to catch a 3 yard screen pass with your heart in your throat and history on the line than it is to make an amazing catch in a regular season loss or a trick catch during a training camp scrimmage.
It's the difference between Derek Jeter and Tony Romo.
There are a lot of terrific poker players when you play for points in a friendly game. Start playing for their paychecks and car titles, and suddenly most don't play nearly as well.
