    Europe and the US are pushing hard for fossil alternatives and home produced - If Russia want a desert full of muslims busy killing each other and anyone else that happens to piss them off let them have it...

    I expect the Russians will come down harder on them than we ever did - The Middle East should be careful what it wishes for.....

      If one looks at the current Afghan, Iraq and Syria, things couldn't have got much worse, now let's let the Russian's have a go, the difference is that the Russians will actually benefit from stability of this region, whereas the US benefits from chaos there.
