In American politics, many centrists, liberal Republicans and conservative Democrats are considered "swing voters" since their voting patterns cannot be predicted with certainty.

I think you meant deciding vote, which is not the case as well because it is 5-7, not 5-6.

The previous ones I attended was invite only..when I saw this thread I assumed the same. Then fuzebox commented on the attendance list and I remembered the Facebook invite I received several months ago.. at the time I brushed it off due to the massive amount of invites sent out.

The vote result he received from me. Everyone who gets voted in or out by the "TIG Committee" receives the voting results for their application for their information and for transparence.

Before people ask - The initial "TIG Committee" gets formed by company CEO's and owners who have documented in the recent past that their company is of a certain size (for example the main sponsors of GFY, presenting sponsors of XBIZ, headlining sponsors of The Phoenix Forum, etc.).

They are the initial "TIG Committee". Once they vote a person in, then that person also goes on the "TIG Committee".

When we send out a TIG Newsletter or post "invitations" on Facebook then those are only "invitations" to apply for an entrance pass and you will still have to go through the "TIG Committee" - and might be declined. Those are NOT invitations to the actual event.

As for the participants. I believe we had a very strong group at TIG 2013 Curacao (the event in question) for being a first, startup event.

About TIG 2014 Paket to be honest I was a little bit concerned as Phuket was a terrible location choice from my side. We basically lost all our U.S. clients because of the long flight times.

Nonetheless, during yesterday's presentation round I realized that there were still a couple of tens (hundreds) of millions of dollars of business present in the room. So, enough business to be picked up to make everyone's trip worth while. I have not received any complaints from the people actually present at the event.

As for who can apply for the event: Basically anyone. But if you are not a CEO or company owner of a company of a certain size your chances are high that you will get voted out.

But I am sure that next year at TIG 2015 Bahamas the "quality" of the attendees will be even "higher" as the Bahamas is an easy to get to locations for Europeans and North Americans alike. As we expect some 140-150 applications for TIG 2015 Bahamas for some 75-80 available spots, logically the "quality" of the attendees can only go up.

The application period for TIG 2015 Bahamas is 1. June 2015 until 30. September 2015.
