if dems are retard enough to nominate hillary, they deserve to lose. I pray for elizabath warren to clean clintons clock like obama did. But sadly i think she is just angling for VEEP.

Our media in the U.S. sure does leave a lot of people misinformed about things.

You're a smart guy, but you don't have a real clue about what is really happening over here. All you know is what our horrible media puts out there. And the media in this country is a joke.

I suggest you use Google and start finding the facts. They are out there. I have no idea why people don't simply educate themselves on these kinds of subjects. It's literally a couple of clicks to learn this.

Seriously - you (as in the US) claim to be the leading force, the beacon of freedom, the most advanced nation, the number one democracy and all that.

Would anyone sign that now after everything that happened since 2001?

You mean the "no new taxes" pledge? Hell yes. As I said earlier...our govt. spends BILLIONS on spying on us and also on YOU in your country.

Trillions on a bloated "Defense"

And as I said earlier...the salaries and perks that these lifetime/career politicians pay themselves is outrageous.

They need to STOP SPENDING money. Not be given even more.

And I totally disagree with the propaganda our federal govt. puts out.

I know you've seen my posts...I 100% disagree that we are truly "free" in the U.S.

And we are NOT a "Democracy". We are a "Republic"

As for "most advanced nation"...I'm pretty sure we are not. We are ONE of the top advanced nations for sure.

As I said, our media holds hands with our federal govt. to feed the citizenry a pack of lies 24 hours a day.
If more people in the U.S. would actually LEAVE the country and travel a bit...they would see for themselves the truth.

I personally admire the people of Europe (like you).
I don't agree with the governments there (too socialistic).

But the people of Europe seem to not be as repressed sexually and emotionally as people in America are.

More like 2006, but I get it. The world had a serious bad view of us and over the last 6 years, it has got worse.

Under Bush, Putin would have never tried what he has gotten away with.

Under Reagan, no one got away with that kind of thing.

So now we have ISIS, or ISIL as Obama likes to call them

I'm pretty sure there haven't been any world wide protests of Obamas policies like there was when Bush decided to use fake intel to invade Iraq..

MaDalton 11-05-2014 08:28 PM

No no, not 2006, 2003 latest. When the german minister for foreign affairs told Rumsfeld that he is lying to get an alliance to attack Iraq and we got insulted in return as "the old Europe".

That was the breaking point for me - being insulted for not blindly following into a war based on lies and false premises.

About the closest thing to protest against the US that comes close to the protest against Iraq, is about the NSA leaks. However the NSA stuff was actually Bush's polices put in action and Obama not stopping it but allowing it to happen. Granted he likely couldn't have stopped it if he wanted to just like republicans can't stop Obamacare.

I'll give you that, some people got pissed...

Wasn't Obama supposed to do something about that, remember, he got a nobel peace prize?

I wish your govt. was able to stand up a lot harder to the U.S.

If you don't...our federal govt. will continue to lie, cheat, and steal to continue trying to "rule the world"

I'm still in shock that we have giant military bases in Germany almost 70 years since WW2 ended. :(

The people here in the U.S. aren't the problem. It's our govt.
They keep everything secret from us. They put out misinformation. They bombard us with nationalistic propaganda from the time we are old enough to walk.

It's not what our country is supposed to be as envisioned by the founding fathers.

Yep, Pres. Obama is completely powerless with everything. Just a nice guy sitting in the Oval Office watching as evil George Bush's policies continue to run the govt. with Obama powerless to stop any of it.

Jesus crockett...you do know the difference between LAW (ObamaCare) and a govt. agency spying on people right?
Pres. Obama can stop them anytime he feels like it.
They work for HIM.

MaDalton 11-05-2014 08:39 PM

Yeah, i also wish he could have turned all the fuck ups around like he promised. Turned out he can't.

MaDalton 11-05-2014 08:47 PM

Btw - don't get me wrong - and you have met me, Robbie - i have no problem with the US as a country and all you people, i have problem with the still existing arrogance that SOME people show towards me or other non-americans that simply has no basis anymore.

We can decide to go through things together but we cannot be ordered anymore.

You are 100% justified to feel that way.

And I'm guessing that the rest of the world feels exactly that way too. The arrogance of the U.S. govt. is going to end up ruining it in the end.

You seem to not understand that the spying came from a "law" called the patriot act and secrect courts empowered by the Bush admin which kept expanding it's powers.. It's not just a govt agency spying, they are legally allowed to do what they are doing thanks to the patriot act.

You do understand law... Right? It would take congress to stop the spying.. The president doesn't make or change the laws.. He signs them or vetoes them. Congress creates or modifies the law..

In fact John Boner and his merry men have been telling us they plan to sue Obama because he merely adjusted the timelines of specific things happening in Obamacare..

They claim he broke the law by making minor changes to dates and by passing congress but you think he can just all by himself do away with the patriot act..

What world do you live in?

One thing I've learned in my travels, what ever you may think of a people in a country you have never been to, keep your opinions to yourself.

While I was in China this year, I learned a lot about the Chinese people. People bash the Chinese people all the time, in this forum, in the news. But I have to tell you. I loved the people there. Being as tall as I am, they all wanted to have their pictures taken with me, but I had a chance to dance, do Tai Chi at sunrise, seeing the real people. But we're told otherwise.

There will always be ignorance, it's hereditary

Cool story bro

Robbie 11-05-2014 11:10 PM

@crockett, yes I do know what The Patriot Act is.

A law that the fucking Congress passed to take away our freedoms because the country was so damn scared of "terrorism".

But the spying part? That's not written in the "law" crockett. That's just powers that the President decided they could have and under the Patriot Act.
And yes, the President CAN stop them.

But since you don't believe ME...maybe you will believe the PRESIDENT's OWN WORDS.
This is from the Jan. 17th speech that Pres. Obama gave about NSA spying:
"I maintained a healthy skepticism toward our surveillance programs after I became president. I ordered that our programs be reviewed by my national security team and our lawyers. And in some cases, I ordered changes in how we did business. We increased oversight and auditing, including new structures aimed at compliance. Improved rules were proposed by the government and approved by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court. And we’ve sought to keep Congress continually updated on these activities.

What I did not do is stop these programs wholesale, not only because I felt that they made us more secure, but also because nothing in that initial review and nothing that I have learned since indicated that our intelligence community has sought to violate the law or is cavalier about the civil liberties of their fellow citizens."

Did you read that crockett? He said he did not "STOP THESE PROGRAMS"
Meaning...he could, he can, and he didn't.

Why do you have to be so goddamned obstinate about everything man?

By the way, you can read the entire transcript of the speech here:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/politi...d84_story.html

And I will say for the millionth time...PLEASE start using Google before you open your dick-suckers and make ignorant comments. :)

The PATRIOT Act was passed by the House and Senate, then later renewed at sunset, with bipartisan support.

Why do they keep renewing it? Anti-terrorism has become a multi-billion dollar employer in the USA ...

We , (US citizens,) drank the Koolaid on this one ... And continue to do so ...

Sometimes, I think many parts of the PATRIOT Act are a USA version of Hitler's Nazi Party's Nuremberg Laws (in spirt not context). The worst part in all: is that we have reelected a lot of the same representives who enacted this POS law ... We got what we asked for collectivily.

On February 8, 1984, the U.S.S. New Jersey fired almost 300 shells at Druze and Syrian positions in the Bekaa Valley east of Beirut. This was the heaviest shore bombardment since the Korean War. "In a nine-hour period, the U.S.S. New Jersey fired 288 16-inch rounds, each one weighing as much as a Volkswagen Beetle. In those nine-hours, the ship consumed 40 percent of the 16-inch ammunition available in the entire European theater...and in one burst of wretched excess," the New Jersey seemed to be unleashing eighteen months of repressed fury

But if you think that's nothing...

I swear you are missing some marbles, might want to up what ever medication you are on.

You hate the Russians, you hate the Chinese, you hate old people and yet you are the first to jump on anything you consider racist?

I think by the very definition of racist is what you are saying in this very thread!

: a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race

The label fits!
