I intend to look over some ATV's

...tomorrow. Anyone have any recommendations to make?

I am interested in fuel efficiency and noise abatement. As well as reliability.

Have you personally owned one or both. Will they meet my criteria listed above?

Both brands are dependable made to be used in the cold and parts are available as they age. My father and uncles were huge hunters they always installed the latest/best aftermarket silent exhaust systems. Systems are available for most popular brands and are a lot quieter than stock.

And just strap a gas can on the back and mileage won't matter.

Thanks for the info...I will check them out. I am thinking about getting one to take up to my wilderness place. I of course will have to have one with a good winch on it as it will have to be winched in...and quiteness /stealth is a must.

ATV = all terrain did you want AWD as there aren't many ATV hybrids like AWD's

What I really want is a UTV. Anymore recommendations?

Well...looking at the online ads...I am thinking about a John Deere or big bore Artic Cat.

Any other recommendations before I decide to buy?

Have two cam-am and one polaris, and I like both. The polaris is a more solid mashine, but cost two times as much.

Might get a light honda next, due to the great gearbox

I will check out the Honda...but right now I am leaning towards the big bore John Deere.

Good mechanic at sxs rental in Marysville called arctic cat nightmares.

Teryx4 was top dog a year ago, we both agreed. A bit loud tho.

We just bought 4 Suzuki atvs, couldn't be happier.
The new Honda sxs looks very tempting and priced right.

I have a Yamaha Grizzly, my Uncle has 2 Rhino's (Yamaha UTV) I have sunk mine and beat the shit out of it - i.e. plowed, pulled Icehouse around frozen lakes, mudding etc. Except for changing the oil and dif fluid regularly I have never had to do a single thing to it. Fucker runs just as good as the day it was new.

My buddy has a Rubicon and is on his 2nd motor.
