What is your budget, and how many staff do you have?

Our budget for fiscal year 2013-14 is $280,000. We have three full-time staff members and receive over $500,000 in in-kind donations per year. For example, our graphic design is done by Kristen Meloche, and our copy writing by Dominique Osborne — all pro-bono. Our legal work is done pro-bono by the legal firm MOFO and Trust Law. These pro-bono calculations don’t include the incredible work of all our site leaders internationally. We estimate that if we calculated their volunteer work into our organizational budget our annual budget would top $5 million.

Aside from this PR stunt / Viral media produced video and questionable donation request...

In a world were people tend to turn on the cell phones and tune out the world, has it come to a point when even a simple hello is now harassment.
There were a few people, yes they were guys, just doing their job of standing in-front of stores to great people to increase awareness of the store etc..

90% of this wasn't cat calls etc.. 2 were a little creepy, but I'd expect on a 10 hour walk in a highly populated city you would have a strange person or 2 cross your path.

If I understand this correctly I'm not to talk to anyone I don't already know ever.

What if a guy she likes but didn't know said hello to her, I'll assume she is straight .. would that be harassment or do the rules change when you unknowingly and silently like the person saying hello?

Maybe she would be better off wearing a burka and then no one would notice her.

Or perhaps she would like to see what it's like NOT to be desired being FAT.

Or perhaps she would like to see what it's like NOT to be desired being OLD.

Or perhaps in a wheelchair...Geez some people you just can't please!

She should consider herself fortunate to be in a group of women that society has deemed desirable. Use the right mindset and keep perspective.

but i found the behaviour of most guys in that video highly questionable and yes, even harassing. As a woman I would feel very unpleasant if that happened to me on a daily basis

That's pretty much what it was, a PR stunt.

It was very uncomfortable to watch and I just imagine that woman would be terrified at some of those situations.

Some people think that's normal. Personally I really have said that in Turkey only. But in NYC... those are real animals.

It's quite tame compared to many other places around the world.

Most of the 'situations' were people saying how beautiful she was and saying hello etc. Not exactly terrifying.

The only harassment was the guy who followed her.

Otherwise no big deal really.

In NYC dude's will even creep on your girl while your walking with her, no respect at all, and then they wonder why they end up in ICU.

My wife a couple times a week needed to walk past a bunch of Dominican guys coming off the subway...and they would talk shit to her.

So one day I walked up to them, and told them can you do me a huge favor, I live up the block and know most of the people in this area. But, can you make sure no one fucks with my wife, because I just got out of prison for murder and don't want to shoot anyone and go back. (It was bs, but he got the message) Then when I passed them by they all were like whats up man.
