My family busted my balls last year at a wedding in Indy cause I don't use it...
"See if you were more social and on facebook we were all chatting on there from our hotel rooms"
Thought my option of hitting the local bars across the street from my hotel was more social.
Never understand how facebook/twitter etc... is being social. Get out and get some air, the only ones that should be on there non stop are people with 5 kids that can never leave their home or old people with nothing to do. Shit didn't exist when I was kid and we played sports, rode bikes, bowled, shot pool etc...
I spend way too much time working online but that's okay cause I see a return for my time investment. Don't use it cause I don't have any extra time to spare with no return and honestly could give 2 shits about what people are doing or updating what I'm doing. Wanna know what I'm doing bring your ass over.Comment

We were all in the same massive hotel. So they all talked on facebook from their rooms and I walked across the street to the bar to hang with the local crowd. Think I win on the social tip and so does the whore I brought back to the room later that night.
As far as other family goes email, text, icq works well. See no reason to throw shit out there for the general public to view as once I do then my family will expect me to be a full time facebook user and that doesn't excite me. Kinda like having second thoughts about giving a girl your number and then ya wake up to 50 text messages. Maybe when I'm older with nothing to do I'll use it.

i still use it but it has its good and bad just like anything else. Good, you get to stay somewhat in touch with people you may not have time or the chance to normally, which is generally a good thing. Bad, because loudmouth cousins, friends, team mates who feel they have to have a loud opinion on anything and everything going on in the world and now we are all subject to listening to them. You can delete them i guess, but it's a good way to figure out who is nuts in your life and who you may want to avoid.. haha I can't be the only one who does this. Only stuff i post is recipes of food i just made--never pictures because food never photographs well.
