If I were homeless I'd travel.

Maybe its just the homeless in my city but honestly when talking to them on occasions I find them to be bright cheerful sometimes even highly intelligent people, albeit many with mental illness. If you've never actually talked to a homeless person you may not know this, but many are homeless by choice. One Wino that hangs out in front of a bar I go to on the Venice circle is an ex programmer who had a family, house, etc. One day he just said "fuck it" and dropped out. He panhandles and holds up funny signs like "Fuck You Pay Me" and lives a basic life of leisure on the beach. The point is that many are homeless by choice because they don't want any responsibilities or commitments. Many are carefree. That doesnt take away from the fact that many are terribly disturbed and have addiction issues.
When I used to see homeless people I would think "Dirty Bum, get a job", but after crossing paths with many I think that people should have a bit more compassion for their fellow man, even if they are living the life of Riley. |

Wherever there's a Pizza Hut dumpster, I'll be there. I would only start eating Pizza Hut after I become homeless.

Actually I change my mind. I would live in hotel lobbys and pools.. as long as you look clean you can stay in a hotel 24/7 and use their wireless, pools, facilities.

Being homeless is misery to a normal person, the mentally ill who make up a big part of the homeless population probably have it easier than the person who for whatever reason finds himself down on his luck and homeless. There's also age to consider, to be homeless in your 20's is a lot different than being homeless in your 40's and later. |
I would crawl into a shallow roadside ditch and let the worms and the slugs turn my worthless skinsack into detritus.

Where in venice are tent cities? granted, venice is slightly more tolerant of homeless but tents are illegal structures under the law and homeless do get arrested there for that. |

Yes living in cars is banned, but people still live in busses and other vehicles - they just move around quite a bit. Santa Monica is extremely tolerant of homeless. South bay not so much. And fuck the tourists, they can eat dick. |
tourists bring dollars.
homeless bring crime. |

I didn't offer my opinion on the matter, I stated a fact. I wasn't speaking to who has the right to do what. the fact is where homeless are, crime is. that is a simple fact. it's not about rights. I couldn't give 2 shits who enjoys the beach but again, the fact is, homeless bring crime with them and tourists bring dollars. you can snub your nose at that all you want but that's how the world goes around. |
Anywhere with 24hour Gyms.
