This is intentionally misleading rubbish. Plants do NOT have brains or nervous systems and do not feel pain. They may adapt, have chemical reaction defences, retract, etcetera — but that's it. These stupid articles are always written with one intention: "It's okay to treat animals horribly then eat them because animals & plants are just alike!" — if you believe that, instead of taking your kids to pick apples or strawberries, take them to the slaughterhouse.
