    I went to the Umpqua River

    ...this morning and fished for awhile. I caught one Small Mouth Bass...so small I put it back into the water. Across the river from where I was fishing two deer appeared...causing some excitement from my dogs.

              Where the Illinois meets the Rogue . Always some steelhead or coho or kings there . At worst the half pounders will be in . Although some of the locals think the half pounders are the best to catch for action . Best of luck .
