Can you go a weekend without going out or drinking?
Every weekend I decide I'm going to stay in and chill and sure enough I end up drinking somewhere or at a bar.
Do people really just stay home for the weekends? |

I was like that in my younger days. Out at the bars every night, even during the work week. Coma drinking. Rinse...repeat.
It gets old. Lots of good times and great memories, though. If I could remember them, I'd write a book. |

I actually stay in more than go out. I have a son to play with so we get wrapped up in all sorts of stuff. When we do go out its like to take him skate boarding or to the movies or Skyzone or fishing.

I am forty-six years old, married, and have a teenager. Our big night out was the high school football game, homecoming, and tonight we are attending a small, local concert for some teenage heartthrob my kid likes. Sunday afternoon watching the 40er game on TV. Somewhere between these events I am doing bike rides, ten to twenty miles each.
Bars? lol. Who has time for that?

Was out last night at a trap edm show and it was awesome.
Im sure the kurmudgeons are like wtf is trap edm. Youtube it im sure you will hate it.lol young crowd , hot chicks ,a few beers and good music. Def dont go put as much anymore but If thats what you enjoy then thats what you enjoy. dont get guilted into not enjoying yourself. if your single, no kids. sure. though i never cared for bars. just hanging out with some friends at someone's home is enough for me but even that got old after a while. now im so tired after the day i look forward to going to bed early and maybe sleeping in till 7:30 if i'm lucky.

In my twenties was crazy and went out all the time and happy to have made it through those years alive. My brother and one of my cousins both mid twenties have never touched alcohol which always blows my mind. I'll fuck with them like sure ya don't want a drink and neither accepts. It's good I suppose but hell I helped finance quite a few bars back in the day.
Today I can still hang but the body doesn't recoup as fast the next day. I'll still go out but nowhere near the old frequency and prefer a sports bar with a good pool table, concert or a nice restaurant. Can still pull chicks substantially lower in age so not like I'm in a walker or anything just kinda been there done that so definitely have mellowed out. DUI laws weren't as crazy as well when I was drinking consistently. Got pulled over cop made ya pour the beer out and ya kept rolling assuming ya didn't hit anything or kill anyone. |

Yea when I'm in my 20's. I can't wait for the weekend to come so that I can go drinking on bars. Now I usually spend it with the gf or my dogs.

I can relate.. I have been doing this for 20 years already.. every week.. multiple times per week..
I like drinking... sometimes it is way better than the sober reality in a way.. despite the fact that off course I am fooling myself.. it's all a big illusion anyway.. Yeah.. I am probably an alcoholic and more etc etc... GFY! I like sex! I also like drugs sometime.. and hookers.. and blow! and beer! In fact.. this mindset actually made me change my life in a way (make money at home, decide when and how much I work, own boss etc) basically so I could spend money in bars... When will I smarten up? Yesterday I had a meeting and we decided to go for a new real estate project.. a apartment complex here in Aruba, vacation rentals etc.. awesome.. great news.. so me and my partner had yet another reason for a celebration... drunk as hell.. of course.. I do believe in a little balance btw.. don't be a crackhead junkie... so make sure your life is in order.. the basics.. financials are ok.. bla bla.. work hard if you must.. and party even harder when you can and feel like it! Also use a condom if you can remember how those things work.. I am glad hookers take care of that most of the time.. and girlfriends are clean of course because they are not like me right? So no condom with girlfriends I like sex btw.. I have a huge hangover now so GFY!
