Adultwriters Caught Stealing rights and money

Are you sure the story content you're buying from adultwriters is legal? We've found proof that the authors we're NEVER paid. Adultwriters is claiming they've never sold the pack. That's a lie, they have sold the pack at LEAST 57 times, and the writers haven't seen a penny of the money.
Here's the proof... I didn't want to up all the screen shots... so here are two of them...

If you've bought the story pack #1 from Adultwriters, you don't have copywrites to it! Demand your money back!

I have no idea about AdultWriters, but the problem with stolen stories is widespread on the internet. Many adult webmasters who are against stealing picture content seem to think it's ok to steal stories from Usenet or other sites and use them without permission from the authors.

This is one reason I've been so leery of starting my story site.

How very interesting...

I was one of the writers for AdultWriters, but when I found out that my gay story pack had made a sale and I had received nothing, not even a notification that a pack had sold... I ask the owner to pull my pack down...

They refused to do so suggesting that it may sell later on and also told me that no gay packs had been sold at all...

I have since requested the pack again to be removed but to this day it is still up there, after some advice I am now looking into the legal side of this issue to have the pack removed for sale.

It would be interesting to know how many packs had been sold...

I now write for myself at Sex-story-text.com and also for WickedTemptress where I know I own the rights to my stories and all stories are copyright to me.

There is also another pack under question, the joke pack... the writer for that one hasn't been paid either. Sassy is making money hand over fist off of other people's writing and not even batting an eyelash.

I have my own story site and write 99% of the stuff on there. I can't imagine NOT paying people for the they've done, but that's me...

It's bad enough that the adult industry has such a bad wrap, and people like them walkin around just makes the stereo type even worse!

Congrats on your ventures hon

I know for a fact the gay pack has been sold several times, while I don't have screen shots of it. I would definietly look into legal action to protect what is rightfully yours.

Shit, that's not good. That's the one and only pack of stories I bought from them. I have most of the stories on a site right now.

What kind of an agreement is signed between adultwriters.com and the author? I paid for the stories and returned the license. Is the license basically worthless? I know she can't license something she has no rights to.

I'm sorry to say it, but yes it looks that way. You should contact Adultwriters and try to get the $ back.

It's a sad sad world when ya can't trust the folks you're working with.

Armed & Hammered,
which story pack did you purchase?

As for the agreement between adultwriters and the author, well I'm not sure about the others but as far as I remember it was a verbal agreement a long time ago where we provided the packs and they would sell them on our behalf - the deal was 60/40

I was assured none of my packs had sold lol

Trust is a good thing, but when someone has abused that trust it brings everyone out of the woodwork... it would be nice to know how many people bought packs from adultwriters and how many authors have not been paid....

The only one I have is pack 1. It's only $20 so I am not going to waste much time on this. I just need to know if it's legit or not. Are there any authors that have stories contained in pack 1 around? I'd like to talk to one.

I've been caught stealing:once when I was five.
I enjoy stealing, it's just as simple as that.
Well it's just a simple fact,
when I want something, man,
I don't wanna pay for it.
I walk right through the door, walk right through the door.
Hey all right!
If I get by, it's mine.
Mine, all mine!

That's one of the reasons why I'm so leery of writing for other people. AdultWriters' system is a little fishy to begin with: give us 10 stories & we'll sell them for you. I sent 10 gothic stories & never heard anything from them.

hehe yes I KNOW they have sold... they use a broker, I don't want to use their name here cause they obviously had no clue this stuff was going on. But I've seen the emails from them to adultwriters and the goth pack was sold.

We're going to be starting legal action on Monday about all this....

Would you want to put your name in the hat with the ever growing number of unpaid authors?

Thanks loads Tala!!

I'm hoping to get everything together so that the writers can get what is rightfully theirs!!

I haven't written anything in the 'questioned' packs. All my work is now on MY site. It is now up to 4 packs ..... involveing at least 5 writers... and god only knows how much money!

Story Pack#1 50 stories
Story Pack#2 Joke pack
Story Pack#5 Gay
Story Pack#6 Goth

And isn't it odd how silent it is from AdultWriters??

Just found out about an interesting act ....

Digital Millineum Copyright act....

if you have a story out there that someone is breaking your copyright to you can go to the host and file a request for the content to be removed

under the law the host has exactly 24 hours to remove the content in question if proven to be of questionable nature

there ARE helpful people out there.... thanks loads!

Alright...

For all the writers that have burned by adultwriters and wish to file suit. Contact me on my ICQ #160003735. Copyright laws protect you and you can recieve up to $500.00 PER occurence of them profiting off your works.

I am going to file for the claim as soon as I get everyone's signed and notarized letter stating your side of the story.

This is most definitely going to court.

Chazz contacted me and told me that because of all of this he thinks it would be best to shut down the site.

I'm still waiting to hear from some of the authors about whether they want to pursue this as a group, or on their own.

The authors I have talked to think that the site being down is a great first step!

And on so many boards, where I'm sure Chazz and Sassy have seen and have had ample amount of time to respond ... they haven't. He chose to respond to me via ICQ and try to get me to hush about it all. He also asked what would make all the writers happy? That there, to me, is admission of guilt.

I do not understand what they were thinking, if this is all true. No one is getting rich selling story content for $20 a set. Why risk ruining your rep for a few dollars?

If you're going to go to the darkside, at least make it worth the risk.

Exclusive rights, 1000-3000 words long, 200 stories...

How much per story?
