read there was 3 dead and dozens injured but the sad thing is this isn't the worst one.. in 2013 8 or 9 were killed and 79 or 80 were injured in Mexico..

Hello, thank you for your response. I am fairly well traveled especially for someone from the USA. I have an affinity for the Netherlands and the people. I have dated a few Dutch ladies and traveled with a group of Dutch friends through Egypt. Would you like to see some photos? I can email them to you. Yes I have been to Amsterdam on many occasions but have spent much much more time in Arnhem which is about one hour via train from Amsterdam. My girlfriend lived in a house that was occupied by allied soldiers during WWII because as I am sure you know the Germans forces were in the area. The sweet old woman who owned the building still lived there and told me about how she fell in love with one of the British soldiers. She gave me a 5 Guilder coin which had the queen's face on both sizes of the coin. Would you like to hear any more of my stories from my time in Arnhem? While usually not my type of event I went to one a few years ago and much to my surprise I had a good time. "Robosaurus" was there - 40 feet tall, 31 tons - and it would lift cars up and light them on fire and then tear them apart. It was a lot of fun really.

One of the show's organizers, Geerlof Kanis, told local broadcaster RTV Oost that the city had granted a permit for the event, which is held annually in the town's center. He said safety fences kept onlookers at a sufficient distance from the show. He speculated that either the truck's gas pedal got stuck or its brakes failed.

What a jackass! For anyone to think that was sufficient distance for people and kids to be standing?? This guy needs to be locked up but then again the city that granted a permit for this is just as much to blame.


I'm glad here in the USA they only allow these shows in stadiums or race tracks that are equipped to keep people safe
