    Halal meat only please



    Three Muslim children have been sent to school with 'Halal only' badges taped to their uniforms after one of them was served non-Halal food in the canteen on 'eight or nine occasions'.
    Khadija Khan, five, has been given non-Halal food by staff at Woodside Academy in Bradford, West Yorkshire, numerous times despite her parents writing to the school to express their beliefs.
    Her mother, Henna Khan, 29, has now decided to take matters into her own hands and said she has taped the stickers to her children's uniforms in 'protest'.

    She said she will continue to send Khadija and her other children, four-year-old Mohammed Talib and three-year-old Tayyeba, to school with the notices 'for as long as it takes'.
    She said: 'I really didn't know what to do anymore.

This is due to the similarity between both methods of slaughtering and the similar principles of kosher meat which are still observed by the observant Jews today.

                                                                                  Or being a muslim, in a muslim populated area, in a city with a very large muslim population and her children going to a school with a large muslim population of students, in a city with very few jewsa, in a school with very few jews, in a country with very few jews, she could in a school that muslim tax payers who make up the majority of the population where she lives ask for Halal meats instead of Kosher meat

                                                                                                              If all that you say is true why is it 1 person's objections being voiced in the OP's article and not the entire communities objections?

                                                                                                              I find it difficult to believe that it is a widespread issue with so little public awareness.

                                                                                                              Perhaps it is they that should become more adapted to their current surroundings or find a more suitable place to settle upon.

                                                                                                              If the meals provided by the school are not suitable to any individual I am certain the remedy of bringing 1s own meal from home is acceptable.

                                                                                                              I would also like to believe that no one at the school is forcing these children to eat school provided meals. I do not believe anyone at the school is threatening the children with physical harm or beheading if they refuse to eat the meal the school provides either.

                                                                                                              If any person does not like the way things are where the reside they have the option of relocating where it is more to their liking.

                                                                                                              Certain groups of people seem to believe that all things in their part of the world should change to suit them and the world does not work that way.

                                                                                                              I do not believe any group of people should expect or receive special considerations or treatment based on personal beliefs/religion in a setting such as schools or other public programs supported by the entire community. If she wants her children to attend a school solely devoted to the Muslim way of life the family should enroll the children in such a school and pay for it from the families own pockets.

                                                                                                                                                                                              Hundreds of Ultra-Orthodox Jewish men refused to sit next to women on an El Al jet from New York to Israel ? and spent the 11-hour flight trying to bribe people to switch seats and loudly praying in the aisles when they refused.
                                                                                                                                                                                              ?It was an 11-hour long nightmare,? one of the passengers told Israel?s ynet news Web site after the Wednesday morning flight landed.
                                                                                                                                                                                              The flight ? on the eve of Rosh Hashanah ? was not only delayed, but degenerated into chaos once in the air, passengers said.
                                                                                                                                                                                              ?Although everyone had tickets with seat numbers that they purchased in advance, they asked us to trade seats with them, and even offered to pay money, since they cannot sit next to a woman. It was obvious that the plane won?t take off as long as they keep standing in the aisles,? said passenger Amit Ben-Natan, a passenger.
                                                                                                                                                                                              The flight crew told passengers they did not have to agree to a switch but the captain warned over the intercom that the flight would not take off with people standing in the aisles.
                                                                                                                                                                                              So the Haredi men took their seats ? but then sprang to their feet once the flight was aloft.
                                                                                                                                                                                              ?I ended up sitting next to a Haredi man who jumped out of his seat the moment we had finished taking off and proceeded to stand in the isle,? said Galit, another passenger.
                                                                                                                                                                                              The man was followed by dozens of others, who then proceeded to clog the aisles and begin loudly praying.

                                                                                                                                                                                                      It is quite a simple age old method used by people for hundreds if not thousands of years.
