The difference between Russia, the US and Israel..

When Russian fighters come "close" to US air space we send fighter jets to intercept and play tag. When US spy plane sit just out side of Russian airspace they send fighters to play tag...

When a Syrian jet enters Israeli airspace by 2,5k feet barely a half mile, they send a Patriot missile to shoot it down... Like it or not but Israel is the only country out there that actually backs up their talk with action.. Regardless of if you like their actions or not, they don't play games

Israel and Syria are more or less at war point. Russia and United States are at strong language point with a few wagging tails. I don't think the United States would have the same reaction if a North Korean (as opposed to Russian) jet came too close.

Israel subscribes to "stand your ground".

Actually we used to violate The USSR's airspace quite often with the SR-71 up until 1985 there was no aircraft or missile that could intercept it except the US's very own F14. The Russians were finally able to coordinate tactics with their M31s and were finally able to intercept a Blackbird in international waters with 6 M31s. It was only after that, that we stopped entering their airspace, because they finally showed themselves capable of catching the SR-71, but then we started using spy satellites. LOL

There is no comparison in these situations because Russia and the USA are nuclear powers. In the case of Syria and Israel only Israel is a nuclear power.

The difference between Russia, the US and Israel is that only one of the three has had constant shit blowing up in their back yard for over 60 years.

So it's working out great for them.

And one of the 3 is at a point where you can't even deposit cash into someone else's bank account from within a bank because it's not track able .... Or there is banks and even countries that do not allow bank accounts from their residents.... How is that working out ?

Well the day I let people put cash in my bank account will be the day I start figuring out the sentence I will get for money laundering.

Attack was just another provocation seeking to escalate what is already a war of interenational aggression headed by a US-led coalition.

Because Syrians have no nukes to pay back? I don't think Israelis will dare to act like this against China, for example

The decision to down the jet was made after 1:20 minutes of flight; when the Patriot hit the plane, the Syrian pilots had already turned around and flown back into their territory.

So you compared coming "close" to air space with entering airspace? Usually posts/comparisons presented in this manner works when you compare the same things...

Russia has entered the air space of it's neiobers on many occasions in the months during the Ukrane invasion. They maybe too, scared to do the same to the US, but they do it to others. As does the US to various countries we like to monitor.

As far as the Syrian jet, he barely entered their airspace, which traveling at those speeds could of easily been a mistake. However it's pretty clear Isreal targeted and launched the missile the moment he crossed as he had already turned back and was in Syrian airspace by the time the aircraft was hitl

Just because Syria is weak and Israeli know that. They won't act like that if Chinese/Russian/US aircraft will enter their airspace.

hmm..as far as i know, China/Russia/US doesn't have a reason to enter Israeli air space

If there was a chance that an Chinese/Russian/US plane was hijacked by a terrorist organization, it would have been shot down too.

Israel is tiny, it takes just a few min to get from Syria to Tel Aviv, so decisions are made quickly, no room to play tag.

btw, Israel is in a good crowd, as messing up with Weaker countries is what Russia is all about

The reason Russia and Nato fly into each others' airspace is for reconnaissance or to say "wassup" to each other. Completely different from what's going on in the Middle East.

Yes, Russia was very unpredictable since 1991 (the end the USSR). All those wars in Somalia (battle of Mogadishu), Yugoslavia (bombing of Belgrade), Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and now in Syria where Russian army as usually kills civilian citizens and where Russian soldiers die for nothing. You are absolutely right on that, so I have to fully agree with you.

I think they got a Nobel Peace Prize for that ....

As for respecting airspace , Israel is no role model

Just FYI: The volume of arms exported by the United States to Asia and Oceania accounts to 45% while the Middle East receives 27% and 18% for Europe. From 2008-2012, 62% of the volumes of U.S. supplies were aircrafts, which included of 49 combat aircrafts, two of which are F-35s delivered to the United Kingdom. Other significant recipients of the U.S. weapons are Iraq and Afghanistan receiving 4% each of the U.S. exports. The U.S. delivered a substantial number of light armoured vehicles, tanks and 36 F-16 combat aircrafts to Iraq.

I don't understand the point. When a jet comes close to your air space, you play tag. When it crosses into your airspace, you open fire on it.

It's not that Israel is any tougher, but instead in these examples it was the only country who had it's air space violated.

3rd-world countries. Really?

Just FYI: The volume of arms exported by the United States to Asia and Oceania accounts to 45% while the Middle East receives 27% and 18% for Europe. From 2008-2012, 62% of the volumes of U.S. supplies were aircrafts, which included of 49 combat aircrafts, two of which are F-35s delivered to the United Kingdom. Other significant recipients of the U.S. weapons are Iraq and Afghanistan receiving 4% each of the U.S. exports. The U.S. delivered a substantial number of light armoured vehicles, tanks and 36 F-16 combat aircrafts to Iraq.
as 3rd world i was referring to EX USSR countries in central Asia and most of Africa, haven't seen too many kids with M16 in Africa, but AK47 is awesome

The point in this issue is that Syria is in an ongoing civil war and ISIS invading it, so it's not like flying near Alaska or Siberia and playing tag
