Is there ANY way I can develop iOS apps without buying a new Mac?
I've used windows my whole life and I love it. I dont want to learn a new system.
I'm starting to learn Swift development now but I need Mavericks 10.9.4 to actually do the development in Xcode not just learn it. I really dont want to spend $1,200 on a new laptop just to run Xcode. I dont use it for anything else other than working on my app. Is there any way around it? Installing Mavericks 10.9.4 on a Windows machine? Anything? i just bought a brand new windows laptop that works just fine |

I've been told that there are some workarounds but they are a pain in the ass.
Grab something like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Apple-MacBoo...item486f3ac733 You should be able to get one under $500 with enough searching and the right timing. And it would be nice to have a nice light laptop anyway.

Get VMWARE and install OSX on a virtual computer.
I run Linux & Windows perfectly fine from my Macbook Pro laptop. I'd assume it works the other way around too.

Just get a Mac. They're better for development than Windows. Trust me. I was a Windows user for 12 years.. My eyes were opened when I left Windows for Linux, then I was enlightened when I went Mac.
Ignore the haters and shit about Apple products and just understand that it truly is a far superior development machine than Windows could ever be. Otherwise hackintosh is pretty simple now days, you can find a good article on dual booting OS X and Windows that way. |

It's easy to put them together. Takes about an hour. I've built a few for others. If you're interested, I'd be willing to do the same for you.
