I was comparing the Oneplus One with the iPhone 6 plus

but if it makes you happy: is also the Samsung worth that much more money compared to the OnePlus One?

Any way to put iOS onto the other devices? I have a Galaxy S5 and will buy a OnePlus One, but I need iOS for a lot of what I do. Android ecosystem just doesn't work the same way, unless I'm willing to convert away from OS X (which I am not, currently).

Chinese version. They won't work on US networks. The OPPO N1 (which is almost the same phone) will, but the OnePlus won't.

Specs are one thing, but you also have to look at the software. ios is written in c++ and will always be faster then androind with it's slow, cpu and memory consuming piece of shit - java. There is also a huge diffence in APi's. Google is still using this terrible, ancient open gl es while Apple developed a totally new API called metal which is 10x faster than open gl.

Carriers are getting carried away with pricing and terms, even up here in Canada. It's all "tab" now. And the bloatware.. oh em gee. Its insane. Also, no way to challenge them on their mistakes... I have friends that upgrade their phones every time the newest iPhone comes out and I just don't get it. If you wanted a bigger phone, you couldn't have got one last year.

I don't get it when people try to pigeon hole iPhone users as uniformed. When most of the time the truth is just the opposite. I had a Blackberry way back in 2003 (BB7510 Nextel) when owning a "Smartphone" was unheard of. Everyone had flip phones and I was running a business off of mine. In 2007 I bought a Nokia N95 for almost a grand. It was a good shot from Nokia at building a smart phone but I immediately went back to the Blackberry. After a few Bold and Bold II's broke on me I hopped on the iPhone bandwagon with the 4.

I flirted with a HTC One for a year and I loved the shit I could do with it but I found myself never doing it. The things I could do with Tasker and a rooted phone blew my mind. But the horrible battery life when you were doing all of this stuff didn't. In the end I decided I wanted a phone with a smooth UI, web browsing capabilities, email, and it needed to work seamlessly with my Macbook Pro and my Dell Workstation. So I sold it to Gazelle for peanuts and got a 5s.

AND I just sold my iPhone 5s 16gb more than a year after buying to Sprint for $320 and just bought a 128gb 6 plus. Gazzelle would have given me $220 CASH for it today and even more than that just 3 weeks ago. Name one Android phone that commands that resale value....

I went with the larger screen because it was finally available in the phone and OS that I wanted. The note was neither of those.

Imagine that. I'm an informed consumer that made an informed decision.
