    Solar storm heading for Earth


    A "strong" solar flare that launched off the sun Wednesday afternoon could cause some fluctuations in Earth's power grid and slight disturbances in satellites and radio transmissions on Friday and Saturday.

                                          it's thought that solarflares are connected to earthquakes, but, so far it looks more like a fancy idea than anything based on reality:

                                          however, this discusses the lack of data they use to come to the preliminary debunking, and there definitely seems to be something connected between solar flares and atmospheric disturbances.. which is curious, as it has been said that earthquakes have some connection with the atmosphere
