That's pretty good news. For Japan as well. Putin is coming in November to discuss among whatever else, the real possibility of making a train service that begins in Japan and goes all the way through Russia and eventually on to London.

Sure. Why not serious? Putin has been trying to convince Abe to discuss this. Abe seems to be interested. Maybe they will make an announcement in November/December. It is part of Russia and Japan's interest to monetize the region and increase trade.
