Winter in Chicago sucked donkey balls last winter and I believe it's gonna be the same or worse this year.

Looked up the weather in Calgary. Here's what I found about "earliest snow in Calgary":
"When Calgary Has Its First & Last Snowfalls

The first snowfall of autumn for Calgary usually arrives in September or October. The season's last snowfall typically happens in April or May. But in some years there is no start or stop to the snow season as it can snow any month of the year in Calgary."

In other words...this isn't an every year event that happens on Sept. 8th...but it's not uncommon either.

Yep, you're right. Most of my family live in Calgary. When I refuse to move there I remind them that it freakin' SUCKS in Calgary between September and June. At least here in Montreal it's still 28c and sunny, warm and green, and the girls are still wearing skirts and shorts instead of parkas.
