A huge part of the problem is that we have all of this technology but so very few of us know how to use it. People don't understand that if you delete it from your cell phone it doesn't delete it from anywhere else your cell phone has uploaded it to....

Not saying I have any idea who hacked it, but I think it's safe to assume that since such a wide net was cast to get all of these girls, it's not out of the realm of possibility that they got a LOT of other stuff too. Though, I doubt the Governor of wherever is taking nude pics of himself and loading them to "the cloud." But who knows? No telling what they got access to and who is dumb enough to load such things to Apple.

Cops, NSA far from excluded, are typically dumb, so the back doors have to be somewhat simple. So some NSA kid is showing off to his friend how easily he can get into his iPhone, or someone simply found NSA's back door on the iPhone.

But I doubt the photos are directly from someone that works at NSA, simply because such would likely be more than one phone brand.
