Whats a tube site worth?

I was wondering what a tube site is worth to sell.

Lets say for example, per 1k hits to the site per day.

So a 1k / day tube is worth?

And a 50k / day tube is worth 50 times?

I was thinking of making a tube to sell and using that money to invest in something else.

Are they easy to sell? I have many blogs and think i could make a decent tube site pretty quick.

And I mean that because while there may be a general ballpark as far as multiples that a tube would sell for, it may go for a bit more if its a good fit for the buyer. Maybe it is a good match for other traffic they have, good for cross promotion etc.

And Id guess a site that gets only 1k hits a day is not worth much

it's pretty tough to shop a tube site that is that small. The guys who buy tubes are generally the guys who already have tubes, if they have money, they likely have successful tubes. So, their networks is likely doing several million hits a day. They are not interested in spending time looking at or working on a tube that does, 1000, or even 25,000 hits a day.

at 50,000 hits a day, there will be some smaller players interested, if they think they can improve on the site and increase the traffic, or if they think that they could better monetize the site than you. But if you are hoping to build something that the buyers will covet, then you are going to want to get it to a few hundred thousand hits a day minimum.

If you are monetizing the site well, the value will be a multiple of your revenues, as in X months worth of revenues, depending on the quality of the site and the type of traffic X can vary widely, from as low as 6 to 8, to as high as 36 or even more (rare in adult).

If you are not monetizing the site well, then the value will be speculated from the traffic and will be directly related to your metrics, like your geo's and pages per visitor. But the value will not be as high as the first case as there is more speculation here.

Without knowing a lot more information, there really can be no correct answer, because you could build two very similar sites and one could do alright in the USA and the other could hit it big in India. The site that hit i big in India might be 10 times the size (traffic wise) but worth 1/10th as much as the smaller site.

For a general ballpark I think these are pretty good numbers, I think there's some other factors as well. Like niche, traffic sources, domain value, etc.
