Maple Leafs on Fire

My Toronto Maple Leafs appear to be extremely serious about going all the way to the Stanley Cup this year!!

Not only did they pick up Owen Nolan last week from San Jose, but they got Glen Wesley now on their blueline and only moments ago they got Dougie Gilmour and Phil Housley!

WOO HOO! Go LEAFS!!!

Yep... but they will have to play the Wings for the cup Chris.. hehehe! It wont be pretty for the Leafs I'm afraid.

Its always a great game when the Leafs and the Wngs play. It would be awesome to see two of the orignal six play for the cup.

Yes I am looking forward to that match up. Wings might have a skill edge... but on the toughness level... hehe that's a different story!

Playoff hockey is always unpredictable!

Well seeing that I lived in Van for 6 years, they became my 2nd/3rd favorite team. If Toronto doesn't make it, my hopes would be the Canucks! Although, they choke like a mofo most times!! Sad but true!

Too bad it is 2003 and not 1995 - these guys are getting fucking old! I'd say something bad about the Leafs choking against the Canes last year, but I can't - my Devils did it first!

hehe, following you around Chris

I thought that I couldn't hate the Maple Leafs anymore than I did, BUT, they go and get the biggest fucking whiner ever to play the game in Gilmour.

Well, to all of you Leafs fans who thought that "Stand Pat" was part of your teams failing in recent years, wait and see. From one extreme to the other. TOO many trades and new acquisitions. Good luck with the chemistry boys.

My prediction: First round loss to the Flyers

If you're fucking nuts enough to bet on the Flyers in the playoffs, you'll find plenty of takers for that action. Do I need to remind you of Philly just taking it in the ass the last, oh, 3-4 years? Jesus, they made the Sens look like Gretkzy's Oilers!

Is Vancouver that desperate to start another public riot? LOL

I wouldn't worry about the new chemistry of the team. Certainly not if Owen Nolan's first game as a bud is any indication!

Not bloody likely! Your talking about a team that has proven themselves in the worst of times! Last year they were riddled with injuries and they still kicked fucking ass!

The Sen's...right, they need some bread to wash down that bone they've choked on every year for that last what? Forever LMFAO

Isn't the Maple Leaf bandwagon full yet in Toronto? Must be hard for all the new fans to jump onboard.

Yes, the Leafs made some real moves finally, but it's not an automatic cup. Still have to beat Philly, New Jersey, Ottawa and then face off against either Detroit, Colorado, Dallas, Vancouver, or St-Louis.

True, it's going to be a tough road, but they could do it. I'm a Leafs fan first, and a Habs fan 2nd, and I can even admit that their cups in 86 and 93 weren't based entirely on them being the best teams of those years.

I hear that!! And after all it is against Buffalo, so it shouldn't be too difficult to have a few of the guys give up their tickets!
