Hell, if we actually controlled the region's oil when this was all done, I might be more into it. I have a friend that they won't allow in the service because he has a felony record. He WANTS to go. He wants to serve his country, but his country won't let him. There are those of us who wouldn't draft dodge, and would serve if called upon.

If our ground troops are called to occupy Iraq, the technology will benefit them greatly, yes. But I highly doubt the people who are offering themselves to the service of our country are thinking it will be a cakewalk. And even less so about "bragging rights".

In vietnam USA actually fought USSR and I'd say they were pretty much evenly mached.
