I think it's more for most affiliates:

Compare $/impression if you can or use $/unique if you don't have those metrics. If you are an affiliate driving targeted traffic you will probably find dating and cams do better. If not then by all means focus on the paysites working for you.

For the angry paysite owners it is nothing personal. The paysite industry largely abandoned affiliates and chose to allow all their content to be handed out for free on the tubes. Many of you cheered it on or did nothing so we got to this point. If you really want affiliates again you are probably going to have to sweeten the pot in some way because $0.005 EPC probably isn't going to cut it. Otherwise you might not find many takers....

It is what it is now. Too late to go back. The laws are in favor of the sites that enjoy the safe harbor provisions and some of the other protections of the DMCA. If the government re-writes the DMCA it will change the playing field over night.

EDIT: From what I can remember the whole thing fell apart because no one wanted to put up any money to fund any of the operations that the movement was going to generate. Failure to commit.

Contact Epoch, CCBill, Netbilling, Segpay etc and they will be able to assist you. Doing a live cam site with your own account and one of these billers is more work, but the payoff is much higher.

NoWhere wasn't talking about doing your own cam site - he was talking about a white label and somehow as an affiliate doing the direct billing with your own CCBILL/EPOCH master account. I haven't done whitelables, so I have one question. Why would the "double info problem" be present at the first place? I don't get it. The whole whitelabel is connected to the actual service provider, right? If it isn't seamlessly integrated, it is really fucked up design.

Cams have been my main focus/majority of my adult income for quite a few years now.

Small cam ppl is good, because not saturated (who the hell do not know mfc or jasmin or steramate already?)... but, as long as the "small" at least got a dozen of cam girls 24/7, those smaller are unstable (will collapse), and if up, not impressing the viewer on landing.
About the PPL that's good as long as it's $2.50+, not $1's, and depends on countries too.

I can confirm we got some $100k a year whales; actually very few of these whales added or lost it can change our profits considerably, I mean like 5 members more or less :)

We did not provided whitelabels for branding and other reasons, that looked a little silly years ago and sure we missed lots of affiliates due to that, but now with the google paranoia about unique content, the alternative ways to use domain names are getting popular. For example iframing and even redirecting it seems not penalized... we see several affiliates doing fancy stuff with the domains but it is not correct to tell here their methods.

revshare in the end will always win for cams. sorry doing ppl is silly unless you are doing large media buys or something. you need patience, but that is the reason most affilaites give up on cams.

Depends by traffic source, some made of younger guys from stupid chat sites produce lots of free signups and no one sale and this is a loss for us (the cam program) and a win for the affiliate. In these cases we talk the affiliate and some time we say please do not send more, of course that's the proof the affiliate is getting better deal than revshare. Other traffic sources, especially 30+ or 40+ year olds sitting on cash and with pre-tube ideas, cause some spending guys and some whales and so yes, we're very happy to just pay some $3 each only for these kind of traffic, but that's rare.
