Why don't big media buyers promote cams? EPC's are lower.

My traffic doesn't like cams, prefers paysites :2 cents:

Venusblogger was a genius and far ahead of his time :2 cents: I like promoting paysites.

So wait - by 'cams' you mean 'cameras', right?
Why would anyone promote cameras? Does Best Buy have an affiliate program or something? |
I think it's more for most affiliates:
"Don't focus on paysites in 2014" Compare $/impression if you can or use $/unique if you don't have those metrics. If you are an affiliate driving targeted traffic you will probably find dating and cams do better. If not then by all means focus on the paysites working for you. For the angry paysite owners it is nothing personal. The paysite industry largely abandoned affiliates and chose to allow all their content to be handed out for free on the tubes. Many of you cheered it on or did nothing so we got to this point. If you really want affiliates again you are probably going to have to sweeten the pot in some way because $0.005 EPC probably isn't going to cut it. Otherwise you might not find many takers.... |
Cams is $$. moving on..

50 billion times I've gotten spot #50 on GFY.com since 2004. LOL.

I actually remember initially starting some of the dialogue in 2005/2006. We saw the writing on the wall and the coming trend. https://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=760706 It is what it is now. Too late to go back. The laws are in favor of the sites that enjoy the safe harbor provisions and some of the other protections of the DMCA. If the government re-writes the DMCA it will change the playing field over night. EDIT: From what I can remember the whole thing fell apart because no one wanted to put up any money to fund any of the operations that the movement was going to generate. Failure to commit. :2 cents: |
See that??? Another evil cam promotion effect.
It makes you waste the fiddy spot on an actual post. If you promote cams you are doomed. :Oh crap . |

Contact Epoch, CCBill, Netbilling, Segpay etc and they will be able to assist you. Doing a live cam site with your own account and one of these billers is more work, but the payoff is much higher. |

Gopros via amazon sell like crazy. good luck

Friendly advice: Do Mainstream.
|
Mutt, contact CCBill and ask to get set up with a Streamate 1click upsell. You're leaving a LOT of money on the table by not having a 1click.
Your members can click a link in your members area, instantly get logged into YOUR cam whitelabel and start spending money using the original CC on file from your paysite. This same setup is available on Streamate via almost 20 different processors/gateways. |
Cams have been my main focus/majority of my adult income for quite a few years now.

revshare in the end will always win for cams. sorry doing ppl is silly unless you are doing large media buys or something. you need patience, but that is the reason most affilaites give up on cams.
that you are trading people who will spend X amount per month for years for 2.50 is insane. |
