Cable TV Setup

Alrighty, so I have this whole "digital cable" deal running through a box in my main room, to my HDTV. I want to have my little 19" TV running cable in my room, so I split the signal off after it comes out of the box. Of course, the box is what changes the channels. So whatever is on there, is on here...

Any ways around this? I want to be able to control channels via my TV here.

no
unless you get a 2nd box, or check to see if you still have an analog signal (regular cable)

What he said. I have a regular signal and my digital signal. If you can still see cable without the box just split it before you hit the box. You will only get the regular channels though.

What in the hell? I just split it off before the box...and got all of the channels fine (can't get the pay-per-view shit). So I guess the box just enables "premium" channels and pay-per-view movies.

You can use a box for more than one TV. as for the channel changing how far away are you? I know this is kinda ghetto, but i have my box in the living room & had the dual tv set up with my tv in the offce, I put one of those automovite rearview window sticker dots on teh wall out side my offce, when i want to change teh channel i aim the remote @ teh mirror dot, & it reflects around teh corner to the box in teh other room. You might have a simular situation making this a possibility, just a thought.
