What are you basing the thought that they'll go back up on? Pure speculation? Hopes? The trend looks decidedly in the other direction.

Well, he says "IF"
Although why buy if you want just to see if it goes up or not, you can see that without buying

100% speculation, as it's always been.

Place your bet and see what happens.

I don't happen to think Bitcoin is particularly risky. I think it is gaining acceptance at a pretty rapid clip. I think it will fluctuate in price in a very volatile way for a long time. I think everyone wants that too. I also think the Europeans will lead with it and US will play catchup. The nature of a free market is no one wants to be left out and no one can afford to be left out. Bitcoin is here to stay, the sooner people realize that, they can start getting some knowledge. Better late than never. There is still some "be on the ground floor with this one" but that ain't going to last much longer.

Yep, stupid bitcoin enthusiasts............

BTC back up to $510.00 already.
They have been trying to kill this thing in the court of public oppinion for some time now. 99% of news from the mainstream is negative. Somebody wants this technology dead!!! It's the old guard, the banks, Visa etc.... they stand to loose thier stranglehold on our lives.
They haven't been able to kill it by now... I'm all in. I'll make more in BTC in the next 2 years than I have ever made in adult. 15 years. (And I have made alot!!!)

Bitcoin is unstoppable now. Because it cannot be stopped or regulated. They can regulate exchanges etc, but Bitcoin is no different from any other item people barter with. I only wish I had figured this out a year ago. I would be a very rich man.

I have no idea but I am using the profit from the profit from the profit so at this point it is just a gift to me. I would think sooner or later I will get burned but if you win 10 for every 1 that you lose you are way ahead

I hear $50 prices by summer. I will buy back in at $88 and set a sell order at $218

same "hearsay" that said "$500 by the 15th" last week.

where is this hearsay coming from? Why not point to the source, seeing as you are posting the info anyway? I'm intrigued to know who is deciding price points on certain days, thanks

Unless it's someone from the government who knows they will ban Bitcoin on a certain date or something else extremely unlikely like that these predictions are pure nonsense. That's why i can't tell if he is serious. You'd have to be very gullible to believe predictions like that. And also how he knows exactly at which point he will buy and sell months from now is just absurd. I think he's joking.

Since the IRS defines Bitcoin as property, I wonder how they could ban it? Bitcoin is kind of like Whack-A-Mole, it's going to pop up all over the place. I doubt if we'll ever see BTC go down to $50, I think those days are over.

Oh the US government isn't gonna ban it. I'm not afraid of that anymore. And i also highly doubt we'll see anything close to 50 again.

I was going to laugh but to be honest I have no clue either. We just buy when it goes down and sell when it goes up.
Plan on doing that until one of two things happen.
1. It crashes and is not worth anything or the time to bother with it.
2. I have no place to put the money I am making from doing this.

Buy when it goes down is good unless it goes down even further :D For example it was going up and down between 600-800$ a few weeks ago, so I bought (a little amount) at $600, then the fucker went down to $350 and it still hasn't reached backup $600

Dollar cost averaging works for me. I bought at 900 and then all the way down. I don't stop buying that way I always buy at the bottom. The trouble is I'm buying at the top sometimes too. You just have to average it out.

works for you how? in that example you have lost money. If its averaging down why wouldn't you wait until it starts trending up again instead?

BTC has always been a waiting game for me. I bought at $60/BTC over a year ago and sold after the crash from ~$260 at about $120/BTC. I doubled my investment, but sold it right as it decided to break $1,000/BTC.

As of now, I ignore it. No amount is worth the lost sleep I got continually monitoring BTC prices.

All in all it is funny how people say "it will be at $50 at X date", "It will be at $3500 at X date", "it will be at $Y at X date". As if they actually have something to base their claims on. Not talking about those guessing, but some actually claim in a serious tone

Exactly. Not a single person on this planet knows where it will be a week from now, let alone a few months from now.
