F1 leader Lewis Hamilton easily wins Canadian Grand Prix

MONTREAL – It may have been the dullest of the 46 Canadian Grand Prix races since 1967, but Lewis Hamilton found it brilliant.

The Formula One driving leader put two miserable weeks behind him as he coasted to victory with Mercedes AMG teammate Nico Rosberg on his tail in what was a two-car race from the outset on the usually treacherous 4.361 kilometre Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on Sunday.

There was more drama mid-race when a groundhog just made it on a mad dash across the track just ahead of three speeding cars.

Hamilton posted his fourth victory in seven races and ended Rosberg’s two-race winning run as he held the lead from pole position and was never seriously threatened.

Lewis should be absolutely cruising in the drivers championship this year. He should have won Monaco and he was unlucky when Vettel won this year, made a bad decision on his strategy that cost him that race.

We're getting to the part of the season that Lewis likes best, if he wins 3 of the next 5 races and doesn't have any DNFs he will be champion with a race or two to spare.

Never been to an F1 race but want to change that in the near future.

Yeah pretty straight forward race yesterday but Lewis won't be complaining about that...

It's so boring now, with not much competition. Basically it's as long as Hamilton doesn't screw up he wins. The cars are too far apart competitively to make for quality racing. I can't even be bothered to watch it anymore until something changes..
