What's the current endgame for Israel?

Not to get into who is right or who is wrong or which side is the bigger asshole.. but what do you think Israel's end game is with this current occupation? I think Hamas is just as much to blame if not more to blame for this situation as Israel is, but I don't get what Israel's long term goal is with this current occupation.

Obviously, it can't be to just kill enough of them that they finally give up. That will never happen, it will just make them want to kill more Israelis. So I don't see what the point is, unless they intend to create more buffer zone and start bringing out the bulldozers, or is it just a body count game?

Any ideas what they plan to solve with this current flare up, other than to create more people whom want to shoot rockets at them?

Israel is a split country.

The religious right is in charge now and when they are they go for blood. They want to occupy all the territories and kick the shit out of the Palestinians and Hamas and don't see any difference between them. Heck if there were Asians in Gaza they'd kick the shit out of them too.

The moderates who pay all the taxes and become soldiers want a peaceful solution and do see that Hamas is a problem but also that the Palestinian people are human beings who are caught in the middle.

There is no end game. Just a bunch of internal and external struggles.

Gaza is the world's largest refugee camp for over 50 years.

Gaza is unwanted territory by Israel or Egypt.

Hamas is the elected and supported political representative of the people of the Gaza refugee camp.

Hamas' position is no negotiation only sporadic self proclaimed "freedom jihad" or terrorising to achieve its political goals.

The end game is to close the refugee camp and relocate all of Gaza's people to the land that they were driven from but only if the Gazans (and Israelis) agree to live in peaceful coexistence in the disputed lands with eachother -- smoke another bowl ...
End game 1: The Egyptians could offer the Gazans southern Egypt and then Egypt can dispose of Gaza as they wish.

End game 2: The Americans could offer them a free ride to Baghdad to fight -- they like Jihad a lot.

End game 3: Gazans can pack up and move to Lebanon or Syria or they could go to the old territory of Transjordan and reunite with all the other Palestinians there.

End game 4: The Gazans can keep on keeping on, continue their armed struggle to annihilate the Zionist enemy and get their asses beat down by the IDF on a regular basis continuing to live in the misery of their Jihadist dream.

#4 is the most likely end game -- no end.

end game 1 = the egyptians could give two fucks about them, they certainly don't want them
end game 2 = not realistic
end game 3 = lebanon and syria don't want them either
end game 4 = most realistic scenario....
