This is false. US imports oil from Venezuela and from Arabs Country. You do produce a lot too,as you are the fourth world producer. You do also import oil from Canada, but not a lot compared to what you import from elsewhere.

Second, US is the country which is the MOST dependant from oil in the world. Far more than Europe. Because you consume much more oil per inhabitant. You are also the country which is the most dependant from foreign investment. If Europe stops investing iin USA, or withdraw their capital, it could result a crash even bigger than 1929 one.

Do not forget that neoliberalism does not come alone. So yes, you have brought great achievements in science and technology, but most of them were in fact developped by foreigners that came to US,because of that same neoliberalism.
