                                                      It's odd that you say that, nico-t - and a very valid point. A guy I knew raped the shit out of a girl during our Sr. year in high school. I'm talking straight up tied the girl up, gagged her, and raped her multiple times while her parents were out of town. There was a "technicality" in the case and it was eventually dismissed. He's now a minister and his focus; female abuse and empowerment through Christ. Um....something tells me the monster still lives within, he's just masking it with a Jesus-cloak of righteousness.

                                                                                      I watched a video of one of his speeches and while he does give a good speech and has a good pitch, he has one major flaw. He kept reminding people in the audience how much money he made. Not just a once or twice, but several times. It came off as if he was very please with himself that he had made that kind of money. He even ended his speech saying something like, "I sold out my family for half a million dollars a years. What's your price?"

                                                                                                                                          The half truths and shady innuendos are my biggest issue with Donny's speeches and articles as well. I have no issue with his using the church to get paid, he told us all about his plans years before he actually did it. But in my opinion, he could have done just as well without throwing so many under the bus with his misinformation.

                                                                                                                                                                                          That was a symtom manifesting itself that stemmed from problems that occured long before in his life. But you're right, that was something that definitely sparked a lot more trouble for him later on. Trouble that he seems to continue to struggle with letting go of to this day in spite of mine and others' many attempts to get him to just drop it.

It's impossible to tell if there's a sincere word in anything he writes. He tries ultra hard, too hard, to confess what a terrible person he was in his prior life as a pornographer but it never rings true. It always reads like he's looking for adulation, the self effacing words are empty, it always sounds like the middle aged failure reliving his days as a high school football hero.

                                                                                                                                                                                                      Took a second to go through some of those texts, sounds pretty pathetic, phony and intrusive to me - can't figure out why would anyone feel the need to do this, unless it's just a way to get socially accepted the hard way among biggots that will "feel" for you when you accept their biggotry. Any of this won't do good to anybody.
